Description
Scheinwerfer.
Headlights. According to the invention, the negative electrode of headlights, in particular of those for projection purposes, is provided with an additive of phosphors. while the positive electrode contains no or only small amounts of phosphors ent. It has been shown that this arrangement achieves a significantly greater light yield than if the positive electrode is designed as an effect carbon, or if positive and negative electrodes are carbon. In addition, this arrangement may produce better light. This is particularly pronounced when it comes to producing a pure white light.
If one uses the electrodes customary for this purpose, which mainly contain lanthanum compounds. in connection with the positive electrode, this results in a light that is considerably less than if one had a charcoal as a positive electrode. If the negative electrode is placed against these luminous substances, a very significant increase in light yield and a bluish white light are obtained, while the light from two pure carbons is somewhat yellowish white.
Especially for cinema lamps horizontal positive coal and inclined negative coal means this arrangement is a considerable advantage.
