Description

Grinding, grinding and refining media. As is known, the grinding, grinding and refining bodies must be provided with air furrows (blows), which is done by cutting off. These air furrows must now, if they have flattened due to wear and tear of the work surface, be deepened again and again by hacking out using the so-called pecking. This work is very tedious and time consuming. The furrows also lose their regular shape over time. The present invention overcomes these inconveniences in that the bottom of the air furrows is formed by inserts in the body which are made of a different material than the rest of the body, which material can be easily chipped off for deepening the furrows.

In this way the work of deepening is very easy and quick to do and the furrows do not come out of shape.

In the drawing, two example embodiments of the subject invention are shown. Fig. 1 in view and Fig. 2 in section show a body formed from artificial stone in the form of a conical roller, while Fig. 3 is an end view and Fig. 4 is a section of a cylindrical artificial stone body.

a are the base of the air furrows forming the basis of the wood or other soft material, board-shaped bodies, they are inserted into the artificial stone body at equal intervals, and they can be inserted into the stone mass when the stone is being made. Their length corresponds to the width of the stone, i.e. they run from one edge to the other. Their height is measured in such a way that they reach into the stone up to the limit of the wear zone, that is almost half way.

While the two exemplary embodiments described are about bodies that are entirely formed from artificial stone with the exception of the above-mentioned inserts, exemplary embodiments are of course also possible. in which the body has an iron core, in which case the inserts can reach up to the egg body in the body. The body could also be made of steel instead of artificial stone, in which case gaps are first milled out for the inserts and then one of the inserts is driven into each gap.

If you have grinding, grinding and refining bodies, which are composed of sectors, then you bring the inserts between the sectors during assembly and then cast the whole thing. It is useful. that the assembly is closed in an iron form in which the individual parts are clamped together before casting.
