Description
Procédé pour la fabrication de fer carburé. L'objet de l'invention est un procédé pour la fabrication de fer carburé. Dans le brevet principal on a décrit Luc procédé pour l'extraction du fer de ses minerais, suivant lequel on introduit à l'extrémité su périeure d'un four rotatif légèrement incliné, un mélange de minerai de fer, de charbon et de fondants, et suivant lequel ce four ro tatif est chauffé par injection directe, à son autre extrémité, d'un combustible très fine ment pulvérisé et d'air surchauffé, en pro portions telles que la combustion ne donne pratiquement pas d'acide carbonique. Suivant le procédé faisant l'obiet de l'in vention on ajoute à la quantité de charbon nécessaire pour réaliser la réduction du mi nerai, un excès de charbon proportionnel au titre de carburation que l'on désire obtenir. Ce procédé peut être exécuté à l'aide du four décrit au brevet principal. Pour le chauffage de ce four on peut em ployer soit un hydrocarbure, soit du charbon.

- REVENDICATION Procédé pour la fabrication du fer car buré dans un four rotatif légèrement incliné, à l'extrémité supérieure duquel on introduit un mélange clé minerai de fer, de charbon et de fondants, et suivant lequel ce four ro tatif est chauffé par injection directe, à son autre extrémité, d'un combustible très fine ment pulvérisé et d'air surchauffé en propor tions telles que la combustion ne donne pra tiquement pas d'acide carbonique, caractérisé en ce qu'on ajoute à la quantité de charbon nécessaire pour réaliser la réduction du mi nerai, un excès de charbon proportionnel au titre de carburation que l'on désire obtenir.
