Les points de ces deux extrémités qui sont rapprochés les tins des autres décrivent des courbes se trouvant dans des plans verticaux perpendiculaires à l'axe de l'arbre 2c et situés à une certaine distance l'un de l'autre;
Mechanical mixer. The object of the invention is a mechanical mess.
It comprises, like other known mechanical kneaders, a frame, a horizontal motor shaft, located in the frame opposite the place where the worker will be standing watching the operation of the kneader, and two arms kneaders which are actuated by the motor shaft, work in a rotating vat and of which different points describe closed curves lying in parallel planes, the planes on which the curves described by points of one of the arms being in besides parallel to the planes in which are the curves described by points of the other arm.
On the other hand, it differs in that the planes in which the curves described by the points of the two arms are located are perpendicular to the axis of the motor shaft and are, for one of the arms, of a side, for the other arm, on the other side of a transverse plane perpendicular to this drive shaft, the closest planes for the two arms being at a certain distance from each other. The kneading arms can be carried by members connected, on the one hand, to correct crank shades with which are provided parallel toothed wheels arranged on either side of said transverse plane and rotating in the opposite direction to one of the kneading arms. 'other, on the other hand, to oscillating arms moving around a fixed axis.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the kneader. FIGS. 1 and 2 are two vertical sections taken at 90 from each other; Fig. 3 is a plan.
The frame of this embodiment has a base a and two vertical flanges <I> b </I> c connected at the top by spacers <I> d e, at </I> bottom by the base a. Each of the two flanges <I> b </I> c carries a horizontal axis such as <I> f </I> on which a toothed wheel q or h turns freely. fitted with a g 'or lt' crank button. Around this can oscillate the lower end of a rod i or j connected to its upper end by a articulation <I> k </I> or l to a swinging arm <I> m </I> or n rotating on an axis o carried by the flanges b c.
The two <I> y </I> 1t wheels are coaxial and parallel; the axis o is common to the heavens arms ni) r .. Each of the rods ij is integral with a sleeve i 'j' where one of the kneading arms can slide which can be subjected to the axial position that it is gives in the sleeve by means of a tightening screw and handwheels r.
The toothed wheel cy meshes with a pinion t, wedged on the motor shaft u provided with idle and fixed pulleys 1; in on one or the other of which a driving belt not shown can be brought by means of a belt pass, r. The pinion t, on the other hand, engages a pinion y of a shaft z provided with a second pinion t attacking the toothed wheel <I> h. </I> In this way,
the two wheels g -h turn in the opposite direction of each other and make the various points of the free ends of the arms 1) q describe, thanks to the cooperation of the arms w rt, closed curves whose shape is similar to that of plain ellipse and which are found in vertical planes perpendicular to the axis of the shaft u.
The material to be kneaded is placed in the tank 2 which is provided with a vertical axis 21, rotating in a vertical bearing 35 of a carriage 3, and a wheel 2 - with helical teeth intended to mesh with a worm screw. end 8 with horizontal axis; the latter is actuated by the 'shaft z by means of chain wheels 3' and a chain 4. The carriage 3 allows the tank 2 to be brought within reach of the arms p q or of the eri away. It is provided with a roller engaging in a cutout a 'of the base a and parts 34 which engage with guides a of this base, so that it has a well determined position relative to the latter during work.
It is held there by a latch of which only the operating handle is visible at 6 in fig. 2.
The operation of this execution faith is as follows: The arms <I> p </I> and q being raised to their upper position in the bushings i \ j 'and being immobilized there by the clamping screws , ori brings the carriage 3 and the tank 2 to the working position, where they are secured by means of the latch, then the two arms <I> p </I> q are lowered by sliding them in the sockets i 'j 'and they are immobilized again by means of the wheels r s. The kneader is then ready to operate.
For that, we pass the. belt not shown of the idler pulley v on the fixed pulley w, from which results the setting in motion of the shafts <I> tu </I> z and of the wheels g <I> h: </I> The various points of the two arms p <I> q </I> describe, in vertical planes perpendicular to the axis of the shaft ii, curves which are. shown in phantom in fig. 1 and the general shape of which is similar to that of an ellipse.
The points of these two ends which are close to the ends of the others describe curves lying in vertical planes perpendicular to the axis of the shaft 2c and situated at a certain distance from each other;
one of the arms generally moves behind the vertical plane passing through the axis of the tank and parallel to the axis of this shaft tr while remaining very close to the rear wall and the bottom of this tank over a large part of its course - it cleans them in this way -, while the other moves generally in front of this vertical plane passing through the axis of the tank and always leaves a space between itself and the front wall of the tank free, possibly allowing the worker to clean this anterior wall while walking.
During this time, the tank 2 rotates under the control of the endless screw 8. To finish the job, you can partially raise the two arms or lift one completely.
Once the kneading is complete, we stop the kneader, we go back the arms <I> p </I> q behind the scenes i '<I> y', </I> we remove the latch and we move the tank 2 of the base a to possibly replace it with another for which the same operations are repeated.
The arrangement described for the control mechanism of the arms has a fairly small footprint, which is advantageous in bakeries where space is generally limited.
A coupling can be interposed in the control of the rotation of the tank 2, which makes it possible to stop this rotation during the operation of the arms p q.
