Description

Automatic safety clasp for bracelets, chains, necklaces, etc. The object of. the invention is a automatic safety clasp for bracelets, chains, necklaces, etc., of the type in which the clasp is opened by actuating at least one visible push-button.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows the clasp, in axial section, closed; Fig. 2 shows the mechanism in the position it occupies when pressing the visible pushers; Fig. 3 shows the device seen from the side with part in section.

The three figures represent the same device; we have only, by way of example, shown various forms of members for fixing the clasp to bracelets, chains, necklaces, etc.

The mechanism which is housed in the flat sheath a, comprises: a removable latch b formed of two superimposed parts made integral with one another by a pin b2 and by a weld, and which fits freely in ' the sheath has; two levers c pivoted on the tenon a2 firmly riveted in the sheath, levers forming a hook at one of their ends; a spring d made of a metal blade that is curved housed thanks to a milling in the thicknesses of the levers c and acting between them against the dowels c2; two pous evenings e acting on the levers c, these pous evenings having an enlarged base and.

In the position fig. 1, the lock b introduced into the sheath a is locked by the. hook ends cl of levers c engage with hook ends b1 of latch b. The latter can only be released if pressure is exerted on the two pushers e so as to bring these pushers, the levers c and the spring d to position fig. 2 where the lock is shown slightly removed.

To obtain the picking of the lock b, it will suffice to push it until it comes into contact with the sheath a. In fact, during the introduction, the head of the hooks b1 being round die produces the erasure of the levers c, which pivot while straining the spring d. But when the hooks cl meet the existing void immediately after the right angle formed by the hooks b1, they instantly hook onto the hooks b1 of the lock under the action of the spring d.

The pushers e acting on the levers are independent of them in order to obtain that their movement is rectilinear in their housing al provided on the sides of the sheath a, as well as to save material, because if the object to be closed is executed in precious metal (silver, gold, platinum, etc.) only, the sheath and the visible pushers will be in the same material.
