Description
Method of making a paint. The previous colors usually consist of a mixture of <B> oil </B> and terpene tin to keep them thin, so that these colors always have an odor. Since the materials used for thinning are relatively high in price, the paints are expensive.
The present invention now relates to a method for producing a paint which is characterized by absolute odorlessness and cheap production costs. The same is particularly suitable for interior painting of rooms, such as plastered and plastered walls and for wallpapers.
The color is produced by mixing linseed oil, water glass, lithopone, water and seccatif. <I> Example: </I> If you take <B> 1000 </B> g of dye, proceed as follows: <B> 38 </B> g of water glass is slowly added 420 g of linseed oil while stirring continuously, until a fine mass is created.
This mixture is then placed on a low fire (small gas flame) and gradually added <B> 1000 </B> gr Lithopon and a few drops of Seccatif.
This mixture is then cooked for about <B> 15 </B> minutes. After about <B> 10 </B> aluminum minutes, the paint is already thick, whereupon a thorough stirring has to be given so that it becomes thin and supple again. The mixture is then set aside to keep it cold and after cooling down, 145 grams of water are added, whereupon this mixture is again put on a low fire for approx. 8-10 minutes, while stirring continuously, so that the <B> 01 </B> combines well with the water.
When producing miscli inks, the amount of color to be used must be subtracted from the amount of lithopone. The production of the paint according to the method described above is most conveniently done in an enamel or aluminum pot.
The paint is applied in the known manner by means of a brush and pen. After the applied color has dried, it can be stenciled in any way with lean oil paint and the like.
