Einspr itzver brennungskr aftmaschine.
Injector internal combustion machine. The invention relates to injection internal combustion engines in which the injection air from the air injection compressor is to be pushed over indirectly into the working cylinder, that is to say no sensor is connected between the compressor and the cylinder.
In these machines, for the timing of the combustion and injection periods to coincide with the thrust period of the injection air, it is essential that the injection ends at the dead center of the compressor piston and begins at the dead center of the working piston.
At the same speed of the compressor and motor; as well as at a higher speed of the compressor compared to the engine, the inconvenience now occurs that the pressure present in the compressor at the beginning of the injection period is too low to inject the fuel into the working cylinder. In the case of the known internal combustion engines of this type, use is therefore made of multi-stage compression for the blown air.
The present invention is that the compressor speed is less than the motor speed; so that the required injection pressure can be achieved by means of single-stage compression at the start of injection.
The drawing relates to an execution example of a single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a compressor driven by the crankshaft and a single-cylinder four-stroke engine according to the invention with a compressor that runs at half the engine speed.
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows the positions of the working crank and the compressor crank at the beginning of the injection period and the over filling period when both move at the same number of revolutions, and Fig. 2 shows the corresponding positions of the two cranks when the compressor crank with half the number of revolutions Working crank is moved.
In both figures, the working cranks 1 are in the combustion dead center and the compressor cranks 2 are in front of their dead center, the angle in FIG. 1 being approximately 30 and in FIG. 2 only approximately 15. The injection valve, which also acts as a pressure valve of the compressor, opens at these crank positions.
In the case of the drive type of the compressor piston according to FIG. 2, the voltage of the blowing agent can therefore be higher than in the case of the drive type according to FIG. 1.
The greater the transmission ratio between the aluminum: motor shaft and the compressor shaft, the higher the compression voltage that can be achieved in the compressor at the beginning of the injection period. By reducing the speed of the compressor, the required overpressure of the blast air can be achieved at the start of injection without a multi-stage compression being required.
The invention is applicable to both two-stroke engines and four-stroke engines.
In four-stroke engines, it is advisable that the crank of the injection air compressor rotates with half the number of revolutions of the motor shaft, so that the control shaft can form the drive shaft for the injection air compressor. But it could also be a translation ratio of z. B. 4: 1 applied, so the compressor shaft moves with 1/4 the number of revolutions of the motor shaft and here a double-acting compressor or two single-acting compressors are used for a single-acting cylinder.
For two-stroke engines according to the invention, the compressor shaft receives a drive such that it rotates at least at half the speed of the motor shaft, with a single-acting working cylinder being assigned either a double-acting compressor or two single-acting compressors.
