Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen schwefelhaltigen Farbstoffes. Die Erfindung beruht auf der Beobach tung, dass neue wertvolle schwefelhaltige Chinonküpenfarbstoffe entstehen, wenn p-Oxy- naphtochinon-p-alkoxyanilide mit Schwefel, und zwar vorteilhaft mit in Chlorschwefel gelöstem Schwefel behandelt werden und hat zum Gegenstand ein Verfahren zur Darstel lung eines solchen Farbstoffes aus dem ,

Getrocknet bildet der Farbstoff ein dunkel braunes Pulver und erzeugt beim Färben in der Hydrosulfitküpe und Nachchromieren mit Chromsalzen insbesondere auf Wolle wasch-, walk-, potting- und lichtechte rein gelbgrüne Färbungen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 1.0 kg P-Oxynaphtochinon-p-äthyloxyanilid (erhalten z. B. durch Kondensation von I # 2- Naphtochinon-4-sulfosäur e mit p-Phenetidin) werden in eine Lösung von etwa 8 kg Schwefel in 25-30 kg Chlorschwefel, der zweckmässig die gleiche Menge Eisessig zugefügt wird, eingetragen.
Die Reaktion, welche alsbald beginnt, wird bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur zu Ende geführt, der ausgeschiedene Farb stoff wird abfiltriert und zweckmässig in be kannter Weise durch Lösen in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure und Ausgiessen dieser Lösung auf Eis in eine leicht verküpbare Paste über geführt.

<I> Example: </I> 1.0 kg of P-oxynaphthoquinone-p-ethyloxyanilide (obtained e.g. by condensation of I # 2-naphthoquinone-4-sulfonic acid with p-phenetidine) are added to a solution of about 8 kg Sulfur in 25-30 kg of chlorinated sulfur, to which the same amount of glacial acetic acid is expediently added, entered.
The reaction, which begins immediately, is brought to an end at ordinary temperature, the precipitated dye is filtered off and conveniently carried out in a known manner by dissolving it in concentrated sulfuric acid and pouring this solution onto ice into an easily vettable paste.
