Combustion chamber for pulverized coal heating systems. The present invention relates to a combustion chamber for pulverized coal heating installations, established with a view to facilitating the removal of fusible ash in these heating installations.
It has been noticed that for some good tanks, given the high combustion temperature developed in the chamber, where this combustion occurs, a part of the ash melts and settles in the lower part. from the room. These melted ashes are in a pasty state and not fluid enough to be drained by a puppy. From a-Liter, it is very difficult to remove them with a scraper and if one wants to proceed to this removal when the fire is out and the chamber When sufficiently cooled, the ashes, under the effect of the high temperature, have stuck to the refractory linings and it is impossible to remove them.
The combustion chamber, object of the invention, overcomes the above drawbacks. It has the peculiarity that below the actual combustion chamber is arranged an auxiliary chamber which communicates with the actual combustion chamber by an opening and whose walls are much colder than those of the chamber. actual combustion, said auxiliary chamber being- intended to receive the molten ash which may congeal therein without adhering to the walls.
In the appended drawing, given to an example: FIG. 1 is a vertical section of a first embodiment of the subject of the invention; Fig. 2 is a vertical section following a plane perpendicular to the first; Fig. 3 is a horizontal section; Fig. 4 shows a second embodiment in vertical section.
The embodiment of FIGS. 1, 9, and 3 includes a pulverized coal burner, 1, with coal inlet, in 2 , and with air inlet at 3, then the actual combustion chamber, 4, having in its bottom an opening 5 for the flow of ash fuses, and under which is arranged an auxiliary chamber 6 intended to receive said ashes and to allow them to be extracted through a door 7, with which this auxiliary chamber is provided.
The high temperature developed in the combustion chamber proper 4 allows the fusible ash to flow through the opening 5. These ashes thus falling into the auxiliary chamber 6 on much colder walls freeze in this chamber without any adhesion and it is then easy to remove them through the door 7.
This combustion chamber can be applied both to pulverized coal fired furnaces and to pulverized coal fired boilers.
The auxiliary chamber 6 can be viewed from a bottom in the form of a bowl, as is the case in the embodiment of FIG. 4, and it is then possible there to maintain water in which the molten ashes fall, which makes it possible to remove granulated slag.
In a variant, the bottom of the auxiliary chamber can be constituted by a casing its cast iron with circulation of water, allowing recovery (for reheating of feed water for the boilers, for example) from the heat carried away by the melted -cen dres.
