Description

Mixer tap for bath stoves, hot water systems and the like. The present invention relates to a mixer for bath stoves, hot water systems, vanities and the like.

So far, such mixer taps have usually been made as a single casting. However, due to the intricate channeling of such straw batteries, this brought with it great difficulties, in that the casting channels were often clogged or the cores shifted, which resulted in casting scrap, which in and of itself was increased by the great disadvantage of the porosity of the casting. Later, the straw batteries were also assembled from individual cast parts, which reduced the inconveniences but did not completely eliminate them.

In the subject matter of the invention, the difficulties mentioned are avoided by the fact that the complex structural parts with their intricate channels are replaced by simple shapes, namely a housing in the form of a sheet metal hollow body, which can be drawn or pressed from sheet metal, for example. The valves and associated lines, which are designed for themselves and penetrate the wall of the housing, are inserted into this housing. The individual parts can also be made from sheet metal as pressed and pressed parts.

The housing made of sheet metal can be designed as a simple body of revolution, as a result of which it can only have round, easy-to-clean surfaces without dirty corners, and is therefore advantageous in terms of hygiene. But you can also give the housing a different sheet metal shape for convenience or aesthetic reasons.

The accompanying drawings show two exemplary embodiments of the invention, of which the shape shown in Fig. 1 in longitudinal section, and in Fig. 2 in cross section is particularly suitable for attachment to bath stoves, while the one in Fig. 3 in longitudinal section, and in 4 in a front view partially drawn in section embodiment, is particularly suitable for use as a wall battery. 5 illustrates in a longitudinal section, partially in view, a bath heater with the embodiment according to FIGS.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, the two valves 2 and 3 are connected to a wall of the housing 4 penetrating to flow pipe 1 for cold water. In Fig. 1 only the valve 2 is visible, namely rotated by about 600 in the cutting plane ge. 4 is the serving as the housing, drawn from sheet metal hollow body, through whose warning the body soldered with the same by 5 and 6 of the valves 2 and 3 penetrate from the outside to the inside.

The rotating body 4 has at the top an upwardly pierced bulge 7, the opening of which is connected through the pipe 8 to the outlet opening of the valve 2, so that the water when the same is opened from the line 1 through the valve and the line 8 can penetrate upwards.

The bulge 7 is also provided with lateral openings 10, 10 'and placed at a distance from a pipe 9, which is connected to the hot water pipe 19 of the bathing heater, which also serves as a shower pipe, so that warm water from the bathing heater through the openings 10, 10' can flow into the cavity of the body 4. Instead of the pipe 9, a shut-off valve can also be attached which carries the shower pipe 19. A drain pipe 12, which can be provided with a shut-off tap 13 if such is not attached in place of the pipe 9, is connected to the housing 4.

To attach the mixer battery to the bath heater 14, the side insert socket 15, which is also suitably manufactured as a press piece, has an opening 16 in its wall, which is connected to the outlet opening 18 of the valve 3 by a pipe 17. This mixing valve works as follows: When the valve 3 (intended for hot water) is opened, cold water penetrates from the pressure water line 1 through the valve 3, the pipe 17 and the nozzle 15 into the bath heater, displacing warm water here which enters the hot water and shower pipe 19 of the oven.

If the tap 13- is now closed ("shower" position), the warm water can only exit from the shower, but when the tap 13 is open ("bathtub" position), the water flows through the openings 10, 10 'into the cavity of the body 4 and from there through the pipe 12 and the tap 13 to the tub. If colder water is desired, the valve 2 is opened, whereby cold water from the line 1 through the valve 2 and the pipe 8 enters the hot water and shower pipe of the oven, where it is mixed with the warm water and depending on the position of the tap 13 either reaches the shower or the tub.

The inner device of the wall battery Fig. 3 and 4 differs from the previous one in that two lines 21, 22, intended for cold and warm water, are guided into the interior of the housing 23 closed by the bottom 30 and drawn from sheet metal , each of which in a valve 24 respectively. 25 ends. These valves are similar to the valves 2 and 3 of FIGS. 1 and 2 ge builds, but their outlet openings 26 are in 'connec tion with the interior of the housing 23.

At the front of the housing there is an outlet pipe 27, in which, if the battery is to be connected to a shower, a tap 28 is installed, in which case on the body 23 a connecting piece 29 is attached for the shower pipe. This battery works as follows: When one of the valves 24, 25 is opened, then when 28 is open, cold water or water flows. warm water in the housing 23; and from there to the tub, on the other hand through 29 to the shower; when 28 is closed.

The mixer tap according to the present invention can be attached both to a bath heater or to another water heater or as a wall-mounted mixer for example above a bathtub or as a standing battery, for example on a vanity. More than two valves with associated lines could also be inserted into the housing.
