Lokomotivkoiadensator.
Lokomotivkoiadensator. The present invention relates to a locomotive capacitor of elongated shape and with air-cooled cooling elements arranged transversely to its longitudinal direction.
The invention consists in that a steam feed line upstream of the cooling elements forms a frame running in the middle or approximately in the middle and in the longitudinal direction of the condenser, the cooling elements partially supporting frame, from which, on both sides of the condenser, the cooling elements are at an angle down to the condensate collecting pipes running along both sides of the condenser.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated, in which the capacitor is mounted on a special carriage.
1 denotes a steam and condensate container, which has a shape that is elongated in the direction of travel. 2 are the air-cooled cooling elements arranged transversely thereto, between the steam supply line 3 and the condensate collecting tubes 4. The tube 3 rests on the container 1 by means of supports 8 and serves as a support frame for the upper ends of the cooling elements 2.
The collecting pipes 4 are connected to the steam space of the container 1 by discharge pipes 6 which, together with the steam supply line 3 , carry the air cooler. In order to make the elements 2 falling from the middle to both sides accessible, a bridge 7 is provided above the steam supply line. The collecting pipes 4 and the discharge pipes 6 are partly connected to one another and partly to the supports 8 by struts 5 . Instead, the pipes mentioned could also be connected to the supply pipe 3 by struts.
The struts 5 are expediently tubular and have steam flowing through them. They are made of such a material that their expansion corresponds to that of the cooling elements. The purpose of this measure is to avoid Elitzes tensions between the struts and the cooling elements. The elements 2 can form a single group or can be divided into several groups which, if desired, are fed to an air pump connected to the elements can decrease in size.
