Description

Motor schutzr elais.

Motor protection relay. To protect electric motors, electromagnetic relays have always been used, which automatically switch off the motors in the event of overload or power interruption. Relays, which provide both functions, usually have several current coils and at least one voltage coil or several armatures.

The subject of the present invention is a motor protection relay, which can be designed and used for example in such a way that, with the help of a single coil with only one armature or core, a three-phase motor can be used both in the event of an interruption in the current (even if it only hits one phase, provided that There is a danger to the motor), as well as if the motor is overloaded, it is switched off.

In Fig. 1 and 2 two embodiments are shown schematically. In Fig. 1, a is a current coil and b is an iron core. If the intended normal current flows through the coil, the core b floats in the same and gently pushes against the lever c. If too much current occurs in the coil, the core b pushes the lever c up, and this pushes up the linkage e of the release mechanism.

If there is no current in the coil, the core v falls and presses on the lever t, which, mounted in g, pushes the rod e up again. In the exemplary embodiment (FIG. 2) the same thing happens, except that instead of a core, there is a rotatably mounted armature.

The overload release is set with the spring lt.

Fig. 3 shows a three-pole switch with such a relay, with the three-phase motor to be protected.

In the event of an interruption only in phase I or III, provided there is sufficient load, the relay acts through maximum tripping.

In the event of an interruption in all three phases or only in phase II, the relay acts through the llzinal tripping.

If the motor is overloaded, the relay acts through the maxiiiial tripping.

The motor is therefore switched off with the help of a single coil and a single armature, both in the event of an overload and in the event of a power interruption, even if this only affects one of the three phases, as soon as this threatens the motor.
