Device for holding the valve housings on the cylinder cover of 31otor cylinders. The present invention relates to a device for holding the valve housing on the cylinder cover of engine cylinders with air cooling.
According to. According to the invention, the valve housing for a valve is screwed into the cover, while another valve housing is loosely inserted into the cover and held in place by a pressure device.
The accompanying drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject invention.
Fig. 1 is a view thereof; Fig. 2 is a section; Fig. 3 shows the cylinder cover without valve housing, from above; 4 is a pressure plate for holding the valve housings in place.
<B> 1 </B> is the outlet valve with its housing 2, and <B> 3 </B> is the inlet valve with its housing 4. The housing 2 is at <B> 5 </B> in the Cylinder cover dusted in, while the housing 4 is only inserted loosely at <B> 6 </B>. The loosely inserted housing 4 is held in place by a pressure device which, for example, has two bolts 7, 8 screwed into the cylinder base.
These bolts hold a pressure plate <B> 9 </B> which is pressed firmly against the valve housing by tightening the nuts on the bolts. Since the pressure plate is also supported against the dusted-in valve housing 2, a reliable fastening of the valve housing that is resistant to vibrations is achieved.
Next is the bracket. <B> 10 </B> for the valve fan is firmly connected to the screwed-in valve housing, for example by being cast on. As a result, it does not take up any special space on the cylinder cover. Due to the arrangement of the fork-shaped pressure plate, the whole formed by the cover and the housing is pegged so that the forces acting on the bearing block cannot have any adverse effect on the valve movement.
The arrangement also has the advantage that, in the case of cylinders with air cooling, space for cooling fins can also be created on the cylinder cover. In addition, a build-up of material on the cylinder head, which occurs with other valve attachments, is avoided and has an effect on the heat dissipation through the air cooling system > works.
