Description

  Une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'in  vention est représentée,à titre d'exemple,  dans le dessin annexé dans lequel:  La     fig.   1 est un plan de cette forme  d'exécution;  La     fig.    2 est une vue de côté de cet ap  pareil;

    La     fig.   3 est une coupeà plus grande  échelle suivant3-3     (fig.   1);  La     fig.    4 est une coupe verticale partielle  suivant 4-4     (fig.   1);    La     fig.   5 est une coupe verticale partielle  suivant5-5     (fig.   1);  La     fig.   6 est une coupe verticale partielle  d'un détail suivant6-6     (fig.    2), en regar  dant dans le sens de la flèche;  La     fig.   7 est un plan partielà plus grande  échelle d'un des éléments nettoyeurs;

    La fig. 8 est une vue de côtéde cet élément; La fig. 9 est une coupe verticaleà plus grande échelle suivant9-9 (fig. 2); La fig. 10 est une vue de côté partielle à plus grande échelle du mécanisme de com mande d'un des éléments nettoyeurs, cértai- nes parties étant partiellement arrachées et d'autres représentées en coupe suivant un plan compris entre les lames de l'élément nettoyeur.

  Apparatus for cleaning the thread. The object of the invention is an apparatus for cleaning the thread, The apparatus according to the invention comprises at least a cleaning element mounted on a support and comprising a base plate fixed to this support and a clamping device consisting of blades carried by a stud which can rotate in said support, means being arranged between these blades to maintain a on the one hand these blades tight against to the base plate and on the other hand applied against the wire to clean passing between them.

  An embodiment of the object of the invention is shown,  to  by way of example, in the appended drawing in which: FIG.  1  is a plan of this embodiment; Fig. 2 is a side view of this apparatus;

    Fig.  3  is a larger scale   section following  3-3  (fig.   1);  < / B> Fig. 4 is a partial vertical section along 4-4 (fig.  1);  FIG.  5  is a partial vertical section along  5-5  (fig. 1);  Fig.  6  is a partial vertical section of a detail following   6-6   (fig. 2), looking in the direction of the arrow ; Fig.  7  is a larger scale   partial plan of one of the cleaning elements;

    Fig. 8 is a side view of of this element; Fig. 9 is a vertical section at larger scale following 9-9 (fig. 2); Fig. 10 is a partial side view to on a larger scale of the operating mechanism of one of the cleaning elements, some parts being partially broken away and others shown in cut along a plane between the blades of the cleaning element.

  As shown, a rectangular support bar 1 carries six cleaning elements 2, 3j 4, 5, 6 and 7 spaced along its length. and this bar is provided at its front end with a tension device 8 and a thread guide line 9 serving to guide the wire near this device. Each cleaning element comprises a base plate 10 screwed onto the support bar 1 and a clamping device.

   This positive of tightening comprises two blades 1 l a and llb each forming with the base plate 10, with curved upper face as shown in fig. 8, a wedge-shaped slot 10a in which resp. in each of which the impurities of the cleaning wire get stuck and are retained.

  The blades are mounted side-by-side so as to to rotate with a stud 12 comprising a square part which passes through square or vertures formed in projections 13 of said blades, this stud being mounted in such a way to being able to rotate in the bar 1 (fig. 6). The stud 12 is also fitted immediately < B> to the outside of the blade lla,

       a washer 14a which has a square opening and which is disposed so to abut against the shoulders formed on the stud by the meeting of the square and eireulaire parts. This construction keeps the blades in position on the stud when the latter is removed from its support, a nut 12a, which only applies to the opposite side of the blades .. allowing their adjustment and also allowing de - fit the blades.

  Two spaced sockets 14 and 15 are arranged on either side of the bar 1, these sockets being provided with narrowed portions 14 'and 15', respectively, which enter openings in the bar 1 approximately halfway across it, moving between the ends of of these narrowed elements a small slot < B> 16 serving to receive lubricating oil.

   The sockets 14 and 15 have circular openings serving as bearings for the stud 12 which extends beyond the socket 15 to receive a block 17, </ B> this one being provided with a clamping screw 17 ' serving to fix this block in position and also having a bearing 18 intended to receive the end of an elastic arm constituted by a spring 19. As shown in fig. 9, 10 this spring is fixed to the block 17 and it is folded back on itself at its upper end as shown at 20, its part 21 folded parallel to its upper part,

   being housed in the aforesaid bearing 18. A screw 22 passes through through the upper part of the spring 19 at the place of its elbow and enters the block 17, this screw fixing the spring in position and thus constituting a device for adjusting the position of the lower end of said spring. An to oil hole 1a is provided in the bar 1 above the slot 16 to allow the lubricating oil to be introduced.

  The clamping blades of each cleaning element are resiliently held in the clamping position relative to to the base plate 10 to using a double coil spring with comprising two series of opposite turns 23 and 24, arranged between the blades to which their ends are hooked 27 and anchored in 25 on a stud 26.

  As can be seen in in fig. 7, a tooth 29, which is integral with part 21 of res sort 19 extends laterally from a point of this element located near of block 17, so to can contact the rear end of the base plate 10 to limit the lifting movement or loosening of the blades.

   A device serving to actuate the cleaning elements consists of bars 45 and 46 carried by an arm 40 and fitted with adjustable collars < B> 53, these bars being able to receive a longi tudinal reciprocating movement with Paide of a double oscillating arm 49 carried by an oscillating shaft 50. </ B> This receives an alternating oscillating movement of an arm 59 and of a roller 60 cooperating with a wheel forming an animated 55 cam of a rotational movement, a spring 61 being connected to the arm 59 and urging the latter towards the cam. The wheel 55 has a circular cam surface 56 with a projection 57 and a recess 58 spaced apart from each other. the other.

  In operation, the cleaning wire is threaded through the tension device 8, between the blades of each cleaning element and to through the slot 32 of the member 81 and the thread guide 30 provided to l back of the support bar 1. The wire then receives a rapid movement through through the cleaning apparatus, which has the effect of remove the impurities which get stuck in the wedge-shaped slots 10a where they are held by the blades 11a and M. The blades 11a and Ilb of each element, under the influence of the springs 23 and 24, exert a slight elastic pressure on the wire,

   the pressure exerted on the blades can be easily adjusted to using the nut 192 a and the same organ allowing to adjust the element for different sizes of threads. Whatever the thickness of the wire or its irregularities, the blades are maintained at all times applied to the wire with slight elastic pressure thanks to the 23 </ B> and 24, these springs resiliently resisting the movement of the blades dil to variations in the thickness of the wire due to the fact that part of the extension 13 of each blade pivots on its edge around the adjacent periphery of the washer 14a or the nut 12a.

   The device therefore tends to offer constant resistance to the moving wire and maintain uniform voltage.

  The rotation of the cam 55 has the effect of bringing the projection 57 and the recess 58 alternately in contact with the roller 60 in order to operate the mechanism serving to release the impurities lodged in the slots 10a of the cleaning elements. When the protrusion 57 actuates the roller, the arm 59 and the shaft 50 are actuated so as to do , moving the bar 45 longitudinally towards this shaft, while the bar 46 moves in the opposite direction posed.

   The collars 53 carried by the bar 45 then act on the adjustable springs 19 of the second, fourth, and sixth cleaning elements, counting from the front end of the bar support 1, thus oscillating the blocks 17 with their studs and the blades of these elements receive an upward movement to allow the accumulated impurities to be expelled out slots 10a by the thread animated by a rapid motivation. The collars 53 carried by the bar 46 move away from the adjustable springs 19, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 10, and the remaining cleaning elements are not affected.

   However, when the recess 58 arrives in front of the roller, the spring 61 forces the latter to to move inward by causing the bars 45 and 46 in opposite directions to those previously described. In this case, it can be seen that the collars .53 carried by the hammer 46 strike the arms 19 of the first, third and fifth cleaning elements and these elements are thus acting born in a way to expel impurities, while the remaining elements remain stationary. The cleaning elements are thus released in alternating groups and the tendency of this arrangement is therefore to maintain constant tension on the wire at all times.
