Press for producing tension-free lenses, prisms or the like. The invention relates to a press for producing stress-free lenses, prisms or the like.
According to the invention, a retaining ring, which executes an inevitable, limited movement upwards and downwards by means of stops, surrounds the compression mold during the pressing process.
The arrangement is expediently such that only the actuation of a foot lever is necessary to open and close the molds.
The press can be used in particular for the manufacture of small viewfinders.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a view, Fig. 2 is a section; 3 and 4 show the pressing device on a larger scale.
1 is a fixed column with the La like 2 and 3. 4 is the lower, fixed angeord designated molded part, 6 is the up and down movable molded part, which is fixed by a screw 5 in the push rod 16. 7 is the foot lever with the counterweight 18. 8 is a Zug- or. Push rod that is connected to the foot lever 7 and a bridge 9 carries. 10 are further tie rods that are connected to the retaining ring 11. 12 are springs that act on the tie rods 10. 13 are stops on the tie rods 10; 14, a lever which is connected to the push rod 16 by the joint 15. 17 are pointed burners for heating the mold.
The mode of operation is as follows: After the pre-machined lens has been placed on the molded part, foot lever 7 is pressed downwards. Through this process, the push rod 8 and bridge 9 go up. As a result, the train rods 10, which are screwed ver with the retaining ring 11, pushed by the springs 12 upwards until the stops 13 limit the stroke be. Retaining ring 11 assumes the position according to FIG. By the upward movement of the pull rod 8, lever 14, wel cher connected to the pull rod 8 and pivotally attached to the column 1, is also moved downward.
Since the lever 14 is now connected to the push rod 16 by means of the joints 15, the downward movement is transmitted to the push rod 16 and to the molded part 6, which is connected to the push rod 16 by the screw 5. By this process, the molded part 6 is pressed onto the lens lying on the molded part 4. Since now the molded parts l and 6 by the retaining ring 1l. are enclosed, they are avoided during pressing. This arrangement ensures that the lenses are not damaged during pressing.
The molded parts 4 and 6, as well as the ring 11, are heated by the pointed burner 17, which is fed by a mixture of gas and compressed air and can be easily regulated. Uniform heating of the molded parts 4 and 6 is thereby achieved. The replacement of the molded parts 4 and 6 requires a short time, since only the screws 5 need to be loosened. If the foot lever 7 is released, the pull rod 8 and bridge 9 go down as a result of the counterweight 18, which sits on the lever 7.
The bridge 9 takes the tie rods 10 downwards and the retaining ring 11 assumes the position as shown in FIG. At the same time the lever 14 pivots upwards and lifts the push rod 16 on which the upper mold 6 is seated. The end position of the molded part 6 and the ring 11 is shown in FIG. B. In this position, the lens can be removed from the lower molded part 4 who the.
The moldings 4 and 6 can be cleaned at the same time. 4 shows the positions of the molded part 6 and of the holding ring 11 at the moment when the lens has been pressed. The arrangement of the retaining ring 1.1 to the upper molded part 6 is such that when the pull rod 8 goes up, the retaining ring 11 only executes the upward movement until the stroke is limited by the stops 1: 3. Only then does the upper molded part 6 go downwards with the push rod 16.
The position of the upper molded part 6 is indicated by dash-dotted lines after the ring 11 has carried out the upward moving ring (FIG. 4). Ring 11 also has the purpose of preventing the glass from being pressed out between the mold parts 4 and 6 during pressing.
