Abstract

Se describe un sistema y un método para navegación basada en GPS y prevención de peligros en un ambiente minero. El sistema incluye una aplicación central que tiene un módulo de definición de mapa de caminos dinámico adaptado para por lo menos permitir a un usuario definir características en forma arbitraria en una base de datos de sistemas de información geográfica e importar datos de imágenes aéreas que  corresponden a una zona geográfica en la que están definidas dichas características. La aplicación central incluye un módulo de recepción de orientación y posición remota adaptado para por lo menos recibir datos relacionados con la posición de por lo menos un vehículo remoto, un módulo transceptor adaptado para el intercambio de datos con por lo menos un vehículo remoto y un módulo de registro y seguimiento adaptado para por lo menos registrar dicha posición de por lo menos un vehículo remoto en el tiempo. El sistema también tiene una aplicación remota y un enlace de comunicaciones adaptado para el intercambio de datos entre la aplicación central y la aplicación remota.
