Abstract

<p>La invención describe un método para producir una composición de material de relleno para usarla en la producción de papel o cartón, dicho método comprende proporcionar una suspensión que comprende hidróxido de calcio y realizar la carbonatación del hidróxido de calcio para formar carbonato de calcio precipitado (CCP). La invención se caracteriza porque se añade almidón y/o carboximetil celulosa (CMC) a dicha suspensión durante dicha carbonatación del hidróxido de calcio. El método de la invención permite un mayor contenido de material de relleno en el papel o en el cartón sin aumentar esencialmente la tendencia a la producción de polvo ni disminuir la resistencia del papel o del cartón.</p>
