Abstract
Un sistema (100) para producir ácido sulfúrico acuoso. El sistema (100) comprende un primer intercambiador de calor (410) configurado para enfriar agua y/o sulfúrico acuoso para producir agua enfriada y/o ácido sulfúrico acuoso enfriado; una unidad de preenfriamiento (200) configurada para preenfriar algo de gas que contiene trióxido de azufre, la unidad de preenfriamiento (200) que comprende una entrada o entradas (212, 214) para recibir [i] el gas que contiene trióxido de azufre y [ii] el agua enfriada y/o el ácido sulfúrico acuoso enfriado, una salida (216) para dejar salir el ácido sulfúrico acuoso y el gas que contiene trióxido de azufre, y una primera boquilla (220) para pulverizar el agua enfriada y/o el ácido sulfúrico acuoso enfriado sobre el gas que contiene trióxido de azufre para enfriar el gas que contiene trióxido de azufre. El sistema comprende además una torre de condensación (300) que comprende una primera entrada (302) para recibir el gas enfriado que contiene trióxido de azufre y ácido sulfúrico acuoso de la unidad de preenfriamiento (200) y medios (320) para circular el ácido sulfúrico acuoso dentro de la torre de condensación (300) mediante pulverizado con el fin de reforzar el ácido sulfúrico acuoso. Además, un método para producir ácido sulfúrico acuoso. Además, una unidad de preenfriamiento (200) adecuada para enfriar gas que comprende trióxido de azufre de una temperatura de al menos 400°C a una temperatura de a lo sumo 150°C.
