Abstract
Método y sistema para determinar un espesor de pared de un objeto como una tubería usando ultrasonido. Se usa un medidor de inspección de tuberías que comprende al menos un primer transductor ultrasónico que está unido al medidor de inspección de tuberías para transmitir ultrasonido en el objeto. Usando al menos un segundo transductor ultrasónico, se genera una señal receptora que representa las reflexiones del ultrasonido en el objeto recibido por el al menos un segundo transductor. Las señales recibidas son procesadas utilizando un procesador provisto en el medidor de inspección de tuberías para obtener una señal receptora comprimida. En uso, el procesador determina en la señal los picos N máximos que tienen las mayores amplitudes e información asociada en el momento en el cual ocurren estos picos dentro de la señal receptora. Información acerca de los picos N máximos e información asociada en el momento en el cual estos picos ocurren es almacenada en un dispositivo de almacenamiento del medidor de inspección de tuberías; Producto; Medidor.
