Abstract
Una configuración de alta eficiencia para un módulo de celda solar, que comprende celdas solares enlazadas en forma conductiva, una a otra, en forma traslapada para formar súper celdas, las cuales pueden estar dispuestas para utilizar eficientemente el área del módulo solar, reducir la resistencia en serie y aumentar la eficiencia del módulo. Los patrones de metalización de las superficies frontales de las celdas solares, se pueden configurar para permitir la impresión de esténcil en una sola etapa, lo que se facilita por la configuración traslapada de las celdas solares en las súper celdas. Un sistema solar fotovoltaico, puede comprender dos o más de dichos módulos de celdas solares de alto voltaje conectados o enlazados eléctricamente en paralelo uno al otro y a un inversor. Las herramientas de corte de las celdas solares y los procedimientos de corte de las celdas solares, aplican un vacío entre las superficies inferiores de una oblea de celdas solares y una superficie de soporte curvada, para flexionar la oblea de celdas solares en contra de la superficie de soporte curvada y cortar la oblea de celdas solares a lo largo de una o más líneas previamente trazadas preparadas para proporcionar una pluralidad de celdas solares. Una ventaja de estas herramientas de corte y métodos de corte, es que ellas no requieren contacto físico con las superficies superiores de la oblea de celdas solares. Las celdas solares son elaboradas, con pérdidas reducidas de recombinación de los portadores en los bordes de la celda solar, por ejemplo, sin bordes partidos o cortados, que promueven la recombinación del portador. Las celdas solares, pueden tener geometrías rectangulares angostas y pueden ser empleadas ventajosamente en disposiciones traslapadas (traslapados), para formar súper celdas.
