Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona, sin limitarse a estos, al campo de los aparatos fisioterapéuticos y dispositivos para localizar o estimular puntos de reflejos en el cuerpo, en particular con los aparatos para ayudar a los pacientes o discapacitados a caminar. Específicamente proporciona una banda sensorial para la orientación de una persona con discapacidad visual que se caracteriza porque comprende un armazón que posee una porción curva y dos brazos conectados a dicha porción curva; un par de antenas, cada una de ellas posicionada en cada uno de dichos dos brazos; un par de sensores ultrasónicos cada uno de ellos posicionados en cada una de las antenas que conforman dicho par de antenas; un primer vibrador y un segundo vibrador, cada uno de ellos posicionados en cada uno de los brazos que conforman dicho par de brazos; y un microcontrolador conectado operativamente a dicho par de sensores ultrasónicos, y a dicho primer y segundo vibrador. La presente invención proporciona, además, un método para la asistencia en la orientación de una persona con discapacidad visual que comprende una banda sensorial que comprende un par de sensores ultrasónicos, un par de vibradores y un microcontrolador conectado operativamente a dicho par de sensores ultrasónicos, y a dicho par de vibradores, donde dicho método comprende los pasos de emitir una onda ultrasónica a través de dicho par de sensores ultrasónicos; medir la reflexión de dicha onda ultrasónica a través de dicho par de sensores ultrasónicos; proporcionar vibraciones a dicho par de vibradores a partir de las características de reflexión de dicha onda ultrasónica; en donde dicha vibración varía dependiendo de las características de reflexión de dicha onda ultrasónica. De esta forma es posible obtener un dispositivo autónomo no invasivo, intuitivo y de fácil instalación que permite al usuario detectar los obstáculos que se presentan en su entorno, facilitando la movilidad y el desplazamiento.
