Abstract

La presente invención tiene relación con un proceso para producir pulpa soluble a partir de material fibroso triturado en base a madera. El proceso comprende las siguientes etapas consecutivas: cocción del material fibroso triturado con licor de cocción alcalino en un proceso de cocción kraft para producir la pulpa; tratar la pulpa cocida en extracción causal a una temperatura de 70-110°C y en una concentración alcalina efectiva de 60-120 g/l durante a lo menos 5 minutos, y lavar y des lignificar con oxígeno la pulpa cáustica extraída.
