Abstract

La presente invención está dirigida al uso de croman-6-oles sustituidos con cadenas laterales lipofílicas extendidas de fórmula (I) donde R1, R2 y R3 son independientemente entre sí H o alquil C1-6 lineal o alquil C3-8 ramificado, como antioxidante, especialmente en piensos como alimentos para mascotas e ingredientes de piensos como harina de pescado, harina de insectos y harina de aves, así como aceites que contienen PUFA como aceite marino, aceite microbiano, aceite de hongos, aceite de algas y aceite vegetal que contiene PUFA. La presente invención se dirige además a los ingredientes de piensos y piensos para insectos, animales acuáticos y terrestres que comprenden dichos cromanoles gemelos de fórmula (I).
