Abstract
Se describe un proceso para recuperar fosfato de litio y sulfato de litio a partir de una solución que contiene litio, como por ejemplo, una salmuera o un licor de proceso enriquecido. El proceso incluye agregar fosfato a la solución que contiene litio para precipitar fosfato de litio y luego separar el precipitado de fosfato de litio resultante de la solución. Posteriormente, se digiere el precipitado de fosfato de litio separado en ácido sulfúrico para producir una mezcla de digestión de la cual se separa un precipitado de sulfato de litio. Se agrega un hidróxido de metal alcalino a la solución separada para producir una solución de fosfato de metal alcalino y se recicla esto para su uso como fosfato en el primer paso del proceso.
