Abstract
Un método para el procesado mejorado de soluciones metalúrgicas de litio comprende las etapas de: i. dirigir una solución de lixiviación de litio que contiene magnesio a una etapa de retirada electroquímica de magnesio para formar una solución de lixiviación de litio con magnesio reducido; ii. dirigir la solución de lixiviación de litio con magnesio reducido de la etapa i) a procesos de concentración y recuperación aguas abajo donde la etapa de retirada electroquímica de magnesio tiene una configuración electroquímica de 3 cámaras para producir un precipitado de hidróxido de magnesio y una corriente separada de ácido clorhídrico, como subproductos recuperables.
