Abstract
Se proporciona un método para la operación de una red ferroviaria que tiene un número de trenes, el método comprende operar una máquina de programación que está en comunicación con la red ferroviaria a través de un sistema de comunicación de datos, para recibir datos de estado separados en el tiempo que definen los estados de la red ferroviaria en los respectivos tiempos. La máquina de programación accede a un modelo de la red ferroviaria que se almacena en una fuente de datos electrónica. El modelo define las ubicaciones en la red ferroviaria que permiten el paso de los trenes y las trayectorias para los viajes de cada uno de los trenes. El método incluye la operación de la máquina de programación para la aplicación de los datos de estado al modelo para determinar, en cada uno de los tiempos respectivos, los controles asociados con la trayectoria de cada tren para cada uno de los trenes. La máquina de programación se opera para determinar los controles al optimizar una función objetivo para los trenes, tal como minimizar el tiempo total de viaje de los trenes, teniendo en cuenta las ubicaciones en la red, las posiciones de los trenes y las trayectorias de cada uno de los trenes. Los controles se transmiten, a través del sistema de comunicación de datos, para el control del movimiento de los trenes, por ejemplo por la operación de los conmutadores de la red ferroviaria (puntos) y las luces de señalización, a través de la red ferroviaria basada en los controles.
