Abstract
Un aparato óptico de formación de imágenes y un sistema de cámara de visión artificial para una alarma que protege las manos de una persona cuando trabaja en una máquina motorizada de corte o abrasión, utiliza trenes de conjuntos de espejos para definir cuatro puntos de vista separados y transferir escenas no superpuestas a un sensor de imagen de una sola cámara. Un eje óptico desde cada punto de vista permite crear un volumen protegido cuboidal. El cuboide puede tener lados verticales. Los objetos reconocibles dentro de ese volumen hacen que la máquina se detenga, en tanto que los objetos cercanos pero fuera del volumen hacen que el aparato active una alarma.
