Abstract
La presente solicitud se refiere a un campo de flujo para su uso en una celda de electrólisis que comprende una o más hojas de material poroso con una estructura corrugada. La celda de electrólisis comprende una membrana, un ánodo, un cátodo, una capa de refuerzo del ánodo, una capa de refuerzo del cátodo, un campo de flujo del ánodo, un campo de flujo del cátodo, y un ensamblaje de placa bipolar que comprende un sello de hidrógeno embebido. El campo de flujo del ánodo comprende una o más hojas porosas que tienen al menos un borde recto y al menos una de las hojas porosas tiene la forma de un patrón corrugado con una pluralidad de picos y valles cuyos ejes están generalmente alineados con un borde recto de la hoja. La geometría del campo de flujo del ánodo proporciona simultáneamente resiliencia, para una compresión mecánica eficiente de la celda, y un soporte mecánico bien distribuido para la capa de refuerzo del ánodo adyacente al campo de flujo del ánodo.
