Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of maintenance of internal combustion engines, in particular to an auxiliary thumb nail and piston ring dismounting tool.
Background
During maintenance of an engine, the piston ring is assembled and disassembled, and is a common maintenance content. At present, a piston ring is usually assembled and disassembled by using a piston ring assembling and disassembling pliers. When the piston ring is assembled and disassembled, the piston ring is assembled and disassembled by using the three supporting points of the piston ring assembling and disassembling pliers, the problem that the lifting of the piston ring is unstable exists, the tensioning force of the piston ring assembling and disassembling pliers is opened by the opening of the piston ring assembling and disassembling pliers, the force is not easy to control, the piston ring is easy to break, and the technical requirement on assembling and disassembling personnel of the piston ring is high. On the other hand, the piston ring dismounting clamp is only suitable for piston rings with specific diameters, and piston rings with various diameters can be encountered in maintenance, so that maintenance personnel are required to replace the piston ring dismounting clamp in time, and the workload of the maintenance personnel is increased. Therefore, in practice, many maintenance personnel use thumb nails to buckle the piston ring, and clamp the piston ring by hand to disassemble and assemble the piston ring. The dismounting mode is stable in lifting and suitable for dismounting piston rings of various small-bore engines; however, the nail is often damaged, the finger is painful and injured, and the method is difficult to use for a long time.

Further, the working surface and the axis of the thumb clamping surface form an angle of 60-90 degrees.
Further, the distance from the first end of the working surface to the center line of the thumb clamping surface is 1.2-1.8 cm.
The invention also provides a piston ring dismounting tool which consists of two auxiliary thumb nails.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an auxiliary thumb nail is provided, which is composed of a thumb clamping surface, a force application surface and a working surface.
The thumb clamping surface is a cylinder surface; the length of the material is 1.5-2.5 cm, preferably the length of the material is 2.0 cm; the first end of the thumb clamping surface is propped against the tiger mouth, and the second end of the thumb clamping surface does not cross the joints of the first section and the second section of the thumb; the inner diameter of the thumb clamping surface is 1.8-2.8 cm. The thumb clamping surface is sleeved on the thumb, when the thumb is bent, the center line of the thumb clamping surface is deviated from the second knuckle of the thumb, so that the first end of the thumb clamping surface is clamped at the tiger mouth side of the root of the thumb, and the second end of the thumb clamping surface is clamped at the outer side of the back of the second joint of the thumb. Thus, the thumb clamping surface is relatively fixed with the second joint of the thumb, and the thumb clamping surface is clamped on the thumb.
The second end of the thumb clamping surface is fixedly connected with the first end of the force application surface.
The force application surface is a smooth transition surface from the thumb clamping surface to the working surface, and the length of the force application surface is 1.8-3.3 cm, preferably 2.8 cm; the first end of the force application surface has a lateral width of 1.4-2.0 cm, preferably a width of 1.8 cm. The length of the force application surface is too long, the force application point of the thumb is too far away from the object to be scratched, the thumb nail and the object to be scratched are easy to shake, and the work is unstable; too short a length, it is inconvenient for the thumb to apply the force. The first end of the force application surface is fixedly connected with the second end of the thumb clamping surface, and a certain angle is formed relative to the axis of the thumb clamping surface, wherein the angle is 0-15 degrees, and preferably, the angle is 10 degrees. One of the main functions of the force application surface is that the force application surface has enough force application space, so that the force application is convenient; the other function is to ensure accurate positioning and avoid the working surface from being separated from the structure to be pulled or the working surface from invading into objects too much. The width from the first end of the force application surface to the first end of the working surface is smoothly transited.
The second end of the force application surface is fixedly connected with the first end of the working surface.
The working surface is a structure for assisting the thumb nail to directly apply acting force to the object to be scratched. The width of the working surface is 0.4-1.2 cm. The width is determined according to the application occasion, and is usually selected to be 0.6 cm, so that the application of disassembling and assembling the piston ring can be satisfied. The working surface has a length of 0.3 cm to 1.0 cm, preferably a length of 0.6 cm.
The working surface and the axis of the thumb clamping surface form 60-90 degrees. Too small an angle will reduce the contact surface; the working surface and the structure to be pulled can slide due to the overlarge angle. The preferred angle is 85 degrees.
The distance from the first end of the working surface to the first end of the force application surface is 1.8-3.2 cm, preferably 2.8 cm. Too small a distance is inconvenient for the thumb to apply force; too large a distance, it is not easy to keep the contact stable.
The first end of the working surface is spaced from the centre line of the thumb rest surface by a distance of 1.2 to 1.8 cm, preferably 1.5 cm. Too small a distance will reduce the positive pressure between the thumb and the force application surface; too large a distance is unfavorable for accurate positioning and stable operation.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the second end of the force application surface further includes a positioning surface. The positioning surface is a section of plane or cambered surface. The horizontal distance from the first end of the locating surface to the second end of the thumb clamping surface is 1.4-2.3 cm. Preferably 1.8 cm. The distance from the positioning surface to the center line of the thumb clamping surface is 0.7-1.3 cm. Preferably 0.9 cm. The width of the first end of the positioning surface is larger than that of the second end. The angle between the locating surface and the working surface is 60-90 degrees, and the locating surface and the working surface are preferably 85 degrees. When the auxiliary thumb nail structure is used, the positioning surface is close to the object, so that support and positioning are provided for the working surface, and the working surface is prevented from being separated from the structure to be pulled or from invading into the object too much.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the force application surface further comprises a resilient retention strap arranged to be cinchable to the front end of the thumb. The elastic holding belt has a length of 1.5-2.5 cm, preferably a length of 2 cm, in the unstretched state. The elastic holding belt has a length of 3-6 cm in the stretched state, preferably a length of 4 cm. The elastic force is 2-10N, preferably 3N. The elastic retaining band enables the thumb to be attached to the force application surface, so that the thumb is prevented from being separated from the force application surface, and the operation flexibility is improved.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the inner side of the thumb clamping surface is covered with rubber, silica gel or cloth and fiber material. The softness of the contact surface between the thumb and the inner side of the thumb clamping surface is guaranteed, the thumb is prevented from being injured, the comfort is improved, and the acting force of the fingers is improved.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the force application surface is further provided with an anti-slip surface. The anti-slip surface is an embossed surface, a serrated surface, a step or a surface with an anti-slip boss. The force application surface is an important part for applying force by the thumb and is also the part with the largest force applied by the whole dismounting mechanism. The anti-slip surface can increase the roughness of the contact surface, thereby increasing the friction between the thumb and the force application surface, preventing the slipping between the thumb and the force application surface, improving the force application of the thumb and ensuring more accurate positioning.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the working surface is a concave arc surface, a convex arc surface, a plane surface, a V-shaped groove surface or a U-shaped groove surface. The main function of the working surface is to contact with the object to be pulled. When some sharp objects are pulled, the falling off needs to be prevented, and the concave cambered surface is used as a working surface, so that the positioning can be enhanced. For some occasions with high hardness, in order to generate positive pressure on the surface of the workpiece, a working surface in the form of a convex arc surface is adopted, so that the fit degree of the working surface and the object to be scratched is improved. For common applications, a planar form of the working surface may be employed for ease of manufacture. The groove type of V-shaped groove surface or U-shaped groove surface is darker, can increase the area of contact of working face and the object to be pulled, improves the positioning effect, prevents the slippage.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the thumb rest surface, the force application surface and the working surface are integrally secured by welding, adhesive or bolting so that they can be manufactured separately. The thumb clamping surface and the force application surface can be made of different materials, the force application surface is made of a material with higher rigidity, and the thumb clamping surface is made of a soft material. The auxiliary thumb nail has larger rigidity and strength, avoids overlarge deformation, can contact the thumb with soft materials, and improves the comfort of use.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the working surface is at an angle of 60-90 degrees to the thumb rest surface axis. Too small an angle can reduce the contact surface, and the too large stress and unstable positioning between the working surface and the pulled object are easy to cause; the working surface and the structure to be pulled are easy to slide due to the overlarge angle. The preferred angle is 85 degrees.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the first end of the working surface is spaced from the centre line of the thumb rest surface by a distance of 1.2-1.8 cm, preferably 1.5 cm. The working surface is a structure for assisting the thumb nail to directly apply acting force to the object to be scratched. Too small a distance can reduce the positive pressure between the thumb and the force application surface, influence the pulling force and make the thumb difficult to apply force on the force application surface; the distance from the working surface to the thumb clamping surface is increased by the overlarge distance, so that the deflection force generates larger moment, and accurate positioning and stable working are not facilitated.
The invention also provides a piston ring dismounting tool which consists of two auxiliary thumb nails.
When the piston ring is disassembled, the thumbs of the left hand and the right hand wear an auxiliary thumb nail respectively. The locating surface is pressed on the outer circular surface of the piston ring beside the gap of the piston ring, and the working surface is penetrated into the opening of the piston ring. The left hand auxiliary thumb nail buckles the left open end of the piston ring, and the right hand auxiliary thumb nail buckles the right open end of the piston ring. The two hands apply force to assist the thumb nail to pull the piston ring outwards, so that the opening degree of the piston ring is increased, and the piston ring is taken out.
When the piston ring is assembled, the left and right thumbs wear the auxiliary thumb nails, the positioning surfaces of the left and right auxiliary thumb nails are abutted against the outer circular surfaces at the two sides of the opening of the piston ring, and the working surfaces of the left and right auxiliary thumb nails are tightly buckled at the left and right ends of the opening of the piston ring. The left hand and the right hand apply force outwards to enlarge the opening of the piston ring, the piston ring is sleeved into the piston ring groove, then the auxiliary thumb nail force application is reduced, the working surface and the positioning surface are separated from the piston ring, and the installation of the piston ring is completed.
The beneficial effects of the invention are as follows:
(1) The flexible manual scraping tool is provided, the finger nails are prevented from being damaged due to direct force application, and the force application is improved by pressing the thumb.
(2) The scraping process can be accurately positioned, force can be accurately applied, and the scraping device is flexible and convenient.
