Abstract

Background
Some print clients (e.g., a print client with Airprint) may set a paper type (media type) parameter as an automatic selection when setting a print job parameter, and the automatic selection is a default setting.
For the print engine, when the paper type parameter is automatically selected, the paper type parameter is an illegal parameter, the print engine cannot normally operate after receiving the parameter, but the paper type cannot be randomly specified, the print engine can detect whether the paper type setting in the print operation parameter is consistent with the setting in the paper feeding box, if the paper type setting is not consistent, the mismatch is reported and the printing is stopped, and different paper types have different required printing speeds, so that the best printing effect cannot be obtained if the speeds are not matched.
