Abstract

Furthermore, it is known to support the chopping board in use on the edge of the sink and then to be able to move along this edge. But the downside to this is that the chopping board can easily slide down the sink. To avoid this, it has been proposed to support the chopping board by means of edge segments which are angled to one another. Contents of the invention

It is therefore the object of the invention to improve the aforementioned sinks in such a way that they can be used more flexibly with chopping boards.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a bead protruding from the edge is formed on the smooth surface adjacent to the edge.

The advantage of the present invention is that the chopping board can be positioned by the protrusion. Either the chopping board rests against the raised portion with a side edge, or the chopping board has a recess on its bottom side into which the raised portion can be inserted, in order to fix the chopping board in position on the sink.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the projection is in particular designed to run perpendicularly/perpendicularly to the edge. As a result, it is integrated in the overall appearance of the sink, in particular unnoticed.

In addition, sinks with separate water control surfaces are commonly used. This control surface often also transitions directly into the residue pond. For this embodiment, the water tank further designed according to the present invention has a groove formed on the bottom of the protrusion, and the groove is located on the side of the water control surface.

The water flowing out of the water control surface is guided in the direction of the residue tank by means of the groove and the elevation, for which purpose the groove preferably opens into the residue tank on one side. Therefore also prevent the water flowing down from the tableware placed on the water control surface for water control, from flowing back into the inherent flushing pool through the smooth surface transitioned by the water control surface. This trapped water can undesirably cool the rinse water.

Furthermore, it is proposed that a second bead is also formed on the smooth surface, which is formed symmetrically to the first bead with respect to the residue pool. This not only achieves visual symmetry, but also serves as a further stop for chopping boards that may be placed. This bulge also creates a corresponding possibility of directing all the water flowing down from the water control surface into the residue sump.
