Abstract

本发明公开了一种光通信系统、子速率复用/解复用装置及其方法,使得光通信系统能够利用现有的光纤网络更好满足城域网通信的需求。这种光通信系统包含以光纤连接的光发送模块和光接收模块,光发送模块用于将输入的电信号转换为光信号并通过光纤传输到光接收模块,光接收模块用于将收到的光信号转换为电信号输出,光纤中传输的光信号中至少有一个波长的数据传输速率在5Gb/s左右,在光发送模块和光接收模块之间还可包含一个或多个用于放大光信号的光放大器。
