Abstract
本发明涉及一种反射式偏光片、背光模组及液晶显示装置。该反射式偏光片包括一光入射面及一光出射面,该光入射面相对该光出射面设置,该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。本发明的反射式偏光片的出光亮度较高。
Description
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种反射式偏光片、背光模组及液晶显示装置。
【背景技术】
因为液晶显示面板中的液晶本身不具有发光特性,为了达到显示效果,需要给液晶显示面板提供一面光源装置,比如背光模组,其功能在于向液晶显示面板供应亮度充分并且分布均匀的平面光源。
请参阅图1,是一种现有技术背光模组的结构示意图。该背光模组1包括依序层叠设置的一反射式偏光片(dual brightnessenhancement film,DBEF)10、一增亮片(brightness enhancementfilm,BEF)12、一导光板14及一反射片(reflective film)16。该背光模组1还包括一光源18。
该导光板14包括一入光面142、一相邻该入光面142的出光面144及一相对该出光面144的底面146。该光源18相邻该导光板14的入光面142设置。该反射片16相邻该导光板14的底面146设置,该增亮片12相邻该导光板14的出光面144设置,该反射式偏光片10相邻该增亮片12设置。
请参阅图2,是图1所示反射式偏光片10的结构示意图。该反射式偏光片10是多层材料交错堆叠形成的片状薄膜,包括一光入射面102及一相对该光入射面102的光出射面104,该光出射面104是平面。该反射式偏光片10包括传统偏光片的偏光效果,也可以配合反射片16有效反射非穿透方向的偏振光,并将非穿透方向偏振光部分转化是穿透方向偏振光,从而有效提高背光模组1的光利用率。该反射式偏光片10使用于背光模组1时,并不能增加背光模组1的出光亮度,需要配合该增亮片12使用。该增亮片12可以收敛出射光的出光角度,增加背光模组1的出光亮度。但是,该增亮片12的成本较高,使用该增亮片12使得背光模组1的成本相应升高,而且多层光学膜片也使得该背光模组1的厚度增加。
【发明内容】
为了解决现有技术反射式偏光片不能增加出光亮度的问题,有必要提供一种可以增加出光亮度的反射式偏光片。
为了解决现有技术背光模组成本高、厚度大的问题,亦有必要提供一种成本低、厚度小的背光模组。
为了解决现有技术液晶显示装置成本高的问题,还有必要提供一种成本低的液晶显示装置。
一种反射式偏光片,其包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
一种背光模组,其包括一导光板与一反射式偏光片。该导光板包括一出光面,该反射式偏光片相邻该导光板的出光面设置。该反射式偏光片包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
一种液晶显示装置,其包括一液晶显示面板及相邻该液晶显示面板的背光模组。该背光模组包括一导光板与一反射式偏光片。该导光板包括一出光面,该反射式偏光片相邻该导光板的出光面设置。该反射式偏光片包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
与现有技术相比,该反射式偏光片的光出射面包括多个聚光结构,收敛背光模组的出光角度,从而增加背光模组的出光亮度,也使得使用该反射式偏光片的背光模组和液晶显示装置成本降低。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图3,是本发明反射式偏光片第一实施方式的结构示意图。该反射式偏光片20是由多个材料层交错堆叠而形成的片状薄膜,其包括一光入射面202与一相对该光入射面202的光出射面204,该光出射面204包括多个聚光结构206。
该聚光结构206相互平行排列,其截面是Λ形,该聚光结构206截面的顶角α是90度,且两相邻聚光结构206顶点的间距D是50μm。
该光入射面202与该光出射面204之间的间距约是132μm。该光入射面202是光滑透明面。
该反射式偏光片20的材料是具有双折射特性的材料,通常是聚二甲酸乙二醇酯(polyethylene naphthalate,PEN)与聚乙烯基萘酯(copolyester of naphthalene dicarboxylic acid andterephthalic or isophthalic acid,coPEN)。该反射式偏光片20可以收敛出射光的出光角度,增加出光亮度。
请参阅图4,是本发明反射式偏光片第二实施方式的局部结构示意图。该反射式偏光片30与第一实施方式的反射式偏光片20大致相同,其主要区别在于:该反射式偏光片30的聚光结构306截面的顶角β是120度。
请参阅图5,是本发明反射式偏光片第三实施方式的局部结构示意图。该反射式偏光片40与第一实施方式的反射式偏光片20大致相同,其主要区别在于:该反射式偏光片40的聚光结构406截面是圆弧形,可以在提高出光亮度的同时,增加出光视角,使出光角度范围内光的亮度变化平缓。
请参阅图6,是本发明反射式偏光片第四实施方式的结构示意图。该反射式偏光片50与第一实施方式的反射式偏光片20大致相同,其主要区别在于:该反射式偏光片50的光入射面502是粗糙面,该粗糙面可以通过雾化处理或者掺入散射粒子形成。
请参阅图7,是本发明背光模组一较佳实施方式的结构示意图。该背光模组6包括依序层叠设置的一反射式偏光片20、一导光板64及一反射片66。该背光模组6还包括一光源68。
该导光板64包括一入光面642、一相邻该入光面642的出光面644及一相对该出光面644的底面646。该光源68相邻该导光板64的入光面642设置。该反射片66相邻该导光板64的底面646设置,该反射式偏光片20相邻该导光板64的出光面644设置。
从光源68发出的光,经过导光板64的入光面642进入导光板64并在其中被散乱反射,部分光从出光面644射出导光板64到反射式偏光片20;部分光由导光板64的底面646射出到反射片66,经反射片66反射回导光板64,并由出光面644射出到反射式偏光片20。因为该反射式偏光片20表面包括聚光结构206,可以将出射光收敛于某一区域,从而增加该区域内光的亮度。该背光模组6可以省略成本较高的增亮片,并减小该背光模组6的厚度。
请参阅图8,是本发明液晶显示装置一较佳实施方式的侧面示意图。该液晶显示装置7包括一液晶显示面板70及一相邻该液晶显示面板70的背光模组6。该液晶显示装置7可以省略增亮片,厚度也相应减小。
本发明的反射式偏光片、背光模组及液晶显示装置并不限于前述实施方式所述,比如该导光板64的出光面644可以是粗糙面,以进一步增加背光模组6的出光均匀度。
Claims (10)
1.一种反射式偏光片,其包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,其特征在于:该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
2.如权利要求1所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该聚光结构相互平行。
3.如权利要求1所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该聚光结构截面是Λ形。
4.如权利要求3所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该聚光结构截面的顶角是90度。
5.如权利要求3所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该聚光结构截面的顶角是120度。
6.如权利要求1所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该聚光结构截面是圆弧形。
7.如权利要求1所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该光入射面是光滑面。
8.如权利要求1所述的反射式偏光片,其特征在于:该光入射面是粗糙面。
9.一种背光模组,其包括一导光板与一反射式偏光片,该导光板包括一出光面,该反射式偏光片相邻该出光面设置,该反射式偏光片包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,其特征在于:该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
10.一种液晶显示装置,其包括一液晶显示面板及一相邻该液晶显示面板的背光模组,该背光模组包括一导光板与一反射式偏光片,该导光板包括一出光面,该反射式偏光片相邻该出光面设置,该反射式偏光片包括一光入射面及一相对该光入射面的光出射面,其特征在于:该光出射面包括多个聚光结构。
