Abstract
La presente divulgación hace referencia al campo del mejoramiento vegetal. La divulgación provee métodos para el mejoramiento de plantas de maíz con un rasgo de prevalencia fotosintética mediante el uso de selección asistida por marcadores. Además, la divulgación provee germoplasma que se mantiene verde en condiciones de estrés por sequía elevado y provee un beneficio de producción respecto al germoplasma sin prevalencia fotosintética. La divulgación también provee marcadores genéticos asociados con QTL de prevalencia fotosintética para la introgresión de dichos QTL en germoplasma selecto en un programa de mejoramiento y la producción de germoplasma de algodón novedoso que tiene mejor rendimiento en condiciones de agua limitada
