Abstract

La estabilidad al almacenamiento de productos agricolas frescos cosechados es prolongada recubriendo la superficie exterior de productos agricolas recien cosechados con una composicion de recubrimiento, que consta de una emulsion acuosa de copolimeros de cloruro de polivinilideno, que contiene de aprox. 0.25 a 25% en peso de copolimeros solidos con respecto a agua y entre 0.001 y 20% de plastificante, preferentemente, un aditivo basado en oxido de polietileno, como p. ej. Triton- X con respecto al peso de los copolimeros solidos en la emulsion. El recubrimiento puede contener tambien biocidas para controlar bacterias y el crecimiento de hongos y para proteger al producto agricola post- cosecha durante el almacenamiento, el embarque, la distribucion y la venta.
