Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a compuestos heteroaril- y fenilsulfamoilo sustituidos, a composiciones farmaceuticas que contienen tales compuestos y al uso de tales compuestos como agonistas del recpetor activador del proliferador de peroxisoma (PPAR). PPAR alpha activators, pharmaceutical compositions containing said compounds and the use of said compounds to raise certain levels of plasma lipids, including high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and to decrease other certain levels of plasma lipids, such as cholesterol- LDL and triglycerides and therefore to treat diseases that are aggravated by low levels of cholesterol-HDL and / or high levels of cholesterol-LDL and triglycerides, such as atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases, in mammals, including humans. The compounds are also useful for the treatment of negative energy balance (NEB) and associated diseases in ruminants.
