Abstract
The invention dilutes the method of producing mineral tanned leather with the addition of cationic substances before the actual tanning. This achieves a significant reduction in the tanning time and improved utilization of mineral agents and a reduction in the content of these substances in the waste baths. When using chromium tanning baths, it is possible to reduce the dosage of chromium by up to 50% and the content of CrgOg in the waste tanning slurry is 0.1 to 0.15 g/1. As cationic substances, e.g. condensation products of organic saturated and unsaturated acids with polyamines, acrylates and polyacrylates or polystyrenes, condensation products of amines, solutions or dispersions of epoxy polymers are used. Increased utilization of the baths is achieved by the subsequent addition of tannins to the tanning baths.
Description
Předměte· vynálezu je způsob výroby minerálně nebo kombinovaně činěných usni (kombinace minerálních činících látek a přírodních či syntetických třlsliv nebo jojioh směsi), kdo ss za účelem urychlení činění a zvýšeni využiti minerálních činících lázni holina upravená běžným způsobem před činěním minerálními činivy opracuje v lázni skládající se z 20 až 200 hm. % vody a 0,1 až 5 hm. The subject of the invention is a method for producing mineral or combination tanned leather (a combination of mineral tanning agents and natural or synthetic tannins or mixtures), in which, in order to accelerate tanning and increase the utilization of mineral tanning baths, the hide, treated in the usual way before tanning with mineral agents, is treated in a bath consisting of 20 to 200 wt. % water and 0.1 to 5 wt. % cationic substance, calculated on the weight of the hide. The content of metal oxides in the used baths decreases considerably. For example, when tanning with chromium salts, the content of CrO in the waste baths drops below 0.4 g/l. The exhaustion of the bath can be increased by adding natural or synthetic tannins. In this way, the amount of mineral agents used in tanning is also reduced.
Existují různé způsoby, jak zvýšit využití minerálních činicích látek převážně ehromitých sloučenin, a to včtčinou postupným zvyšováním bazicity lázní pomocí solí hořčíku. The processes used so far for both mineral and combined tanning require a higher use of turpentine and other mineral tanning agents in the tanning baths, because their use for the actual tanning is relatively low. This results in higher tanning costs and, above all, a higher content of mineral tanning agents in the waste baths. This causes difficulties in cleaning and discharging these baths into public waterways, especially in tanning using turpentine compounds. There are various ways to increase the use of mineral tanning agents, mainly turpentine compounds, mainly by gradually increasing the basicity of the baths using magnesium salts. This achieves better use of chromium in the leather and a larger part of the chromium in the waste waters (baths) is precipitated as chromium hydroxide. Furthermore, it is possible to achieve a higher depletion of Cr 2 0 3 by adding dicarboxylic acids or their salts or naphthalenesulfonic acid condensate.
When using magnesium salts, uniform basification does not always occur, which affects the quality of the leather produced. Part of the chromium precipitates as chromium hydroxide and passes into sludge, which is difficult to dispose of and does not achieve savings on the enormous amount of tanning agents used. Dicarboxylic acids or naphthalene sulfonic acid condensate are not always available in sufficient quantities.
% vody a 0,1 až 5 hm. % kationaktivní látky po dobu 1 až 3 hodin. Potom se do téže lázně přidávají minerální činicí sole a po 4 až 6 hodinách pohybu se přidá vaji plnicí látky eventuálně S mazacím účinkem, a výhodou látky kationaktivního charakteru, v množbtví 0,1 až 5 hm. %. Násady chemikálií jsou počítány na hmotnost holiny. Some disadvantages of the previously used processes are eliminated by the process according to the invention. The wood pulp prepared according to the conventional technological process from any type of raw material is decalcified using ammonium sulfate, pickled and washed in the usual way. It is further treated in a bath consisting of 20 to 200 wt. % water and 0.1 to 5 wt. % cationic substance for a period of 1 to 3 hours. Then mineral treatment salts are added to the same bath and after 4 to 6 hours of movement, fillers are added, possibly with a lubricating effect, and preferably substances of cationic nature, in an amount of 0.1 to 5 wt. %. The chemical doses are calculated per weight of the wood pulp.
Jako kationaktivní látky js možno použit například alkylpolypropylenpolyamin, kde Js počet aminóskupin o jednu větší než propylenových skupin, kterých je 1 až 5 a alkyl obsahuje C12 až a nasycenými i nenasycenými vazbami a je kvarterizovaný anorganickými i organickými kyselinami s Cj až Cg nebo kvarterizovanými solemi přírodních olejů; akryláty či polyákryláty nebo polystyreny, kondenzačních produktů aminů, roztoků nebo disperze epoxidových polymerů a podobně.As cationic substances, it is possible to use, for example, alkyl polypropylene polyamine, where the number of amino groups is one greater than the number of propylene groups, which is 1 to 5, and the alkyl contains C12 to C18 saturated and unsaturated bonds and is quaternized with inorganic and organic acids with C1 to C8 or quaternized salts of natural oils; acrylates or polyacrylates or polystyrenes, condensation products of amines, solutions or dispersions of epoxy polymers, and the like.
Salts of chromium, aluminum or zirconium are used as mineral agents; To improve the quality of leather and improve the use of mineral agents, after tanning with mineral substances, leather can be treated with synthetic or natural tannin, or mixtures thereof, or again with cationic substances, which can simultaneously fill and lubricate.
