Abstract

The solution relates to a thermal insulation material made of loose or granular particles, especially from industrial waste. The essence of the solution is that the thermal insulation particles are cemented in contact points by a discontinuous layer of sealant droplets, whereby intermediate cavities of irregular shape are formed between the thermal insulation particles and the sealant droplets. The intermediate cavities can be filled with carbon dioxide, or a vacuum is created in them. The sealant droplets can be formed from a gel-like aqueous solution with irreversible solubility in water after drying.

Description

Vynález se týká tepelně izolační hmoty ze sypkých nebo granulovaných částic, zejména z průmyslových odpadů·BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

Insulation materials of organic origin, such as foamed polystyrene, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, although in a self-extinguishing modification, are not suitable for thermal insulation for higher temperatures due to their flammability.

V těchto případěch je třeba použít anorganické izolační hmoty, joiko například minerální vlákna, zpěněné sklo nebo perlit· Izolační hmoty se pro praktické použití vyrábějí ve formě tvarovek, zkruži, matrací z minerálních vláken nebo dokonce volných zásypů izolovaného potrubí v kanálech nebo v oplechování sypkými práškovými nebo granulovými izolačními hmotami, například perlit, mikroazbest a podobně·Inorganic insulating materials such as mineral fibers, foamed glass or perlite must be used in such cases. · Insulating materials are manufactured for practical use in the form of fittings, mats, mineral fiber mattresses or even loose backfills of insulated piping in ducts or in bulk powder coating or granular insulating materials such as perlite, microazbestos and the like

In the construction industry, combinations of insulating and conventional building materials are also used in the form of sandwich building claddings or cavity building elements with the possible filling of cavities with thermal insulation materials. · Very little and to a limited extent used for insulating purposes industrial waste materials such as floor structures and the like.

Nevýhody dosavadních řešení spočívají ve značné investiční náročnosti většiny klasických izolačních hmot a prvků, v omezených možnostech využívání průmyslových odpadů na tepelně izolační účely·The disadvantages of the existing solutions lie in the considerable investment demands of most conventional insulating materials and elements, in the limited possibilities of using industrial waste for thermal insulation purposes.

Effective use of waste bulk materials that pollute the environment has been addressed for many years. For example, fly ash from coal-fired power plants is only 10% used. Their disposal requires considerable costs, the seizure of farmland for sludge fields and considerable investment resources. This is a loose material which, in the dry state, has very good thermal insulation properties. Otherwise, a very suitable loose insulating material is expanded perlite, whose insulating properties are not yet utilized, as would be desirable *. At present, loose insulating materials are processed by means of binder in building industry into mortars and concrete, whereby the thermal insulating properties of these materials are largely lost.

These disadvantages are clearly reduced or eliminated by the thermal insulating material according to the invention, which is based on the fact that the thermal insulating particles are cemented at the contact points by a discontinuous layer of mastic droplets, and intermediate cavities of irregular shape are formed between the thermal insulating particles.

The intermediate cavities may be filled with carbon dioxide, or a negative pressure may be generated therein.

Mastic droplets may be formed from a gel aqueous solution with irreversible solubility in water after drying.

The advantage of the solution according to the invention is that it makes it possible to collectively use a number of worthless annoying bulk industrial wastes for insulation purposes.

The thermal insulating material consists of loose or granulated particles, in particular industrial wastes such as polystyrene, polyurethane or mineral insulators. The heat insulating particles 2 are bonded at the contact points 6 by a discontinuous layer of putty droplets 5. Intermediate cavities 4 of irregular shape are formed between the heat insulating particles 2 and the droplets of the putty 5. The intermediate cavities 4 may be filled with carbon dioxide. Vacuum can be created in the intermediate cavities 4. The layer of putty droplets 5 may be formed from a gel aqueous solution with irreversible solubility in water after drying.

An exemplary specific composition of the inventive heat-insulating material is as follows: Filler - selectively removed fly ash with a grain size of 0.5 to 1 mm at a bulk density of 3 to 553 to 803 kg.m in 1000 parts by weight. Binder - a water-dilute polyvinyl acetate emulsion solution having a dry matter content of 5 to 20 percent in an amount of 50 to 200 parts by weight.

Zhotovená tepelně izolační hmota může být ještě před úplným vysušením vody nasypána dó hermeticky uzavřených obalů příslušných tvarů, slisována nebo vakuována a sušena i popřípadě plněna kysličníkem uhličitým. Potom bude mít, y závislosti na použité technologii, různé měrné hmotnosti a to od 690 do 1050 kg,m”3.The produced thermal insulating material can be poured into hermetically sealed containers of the respective shapes before being completely dried, compressed or vacuumed and dried and optionally filled with carbon dioxide. It will then, depending on the technology used, have different density, from 690 to 1050 kg, m 3 .

Depending on local conditions, any loose thermal insulating material can be used as the filler and any binder may be used as a binder, provided that the binder becomes insoluble in water after drying or chemical precipitation. This property also has, for example, silicate binders such as lime, cement and gypsum. The thermal conductivity of an exemplary composition is from 0.18 to 0.45 W, while only the self-supporting up to one floor, i.e. about 3.6 m in this state of shape stability.

The heat-insulating material according to the invention is not intended for use on external surfaces of building structures exposed to external climatic influences, but is applicable inside building structures or in interiors.
