BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a device for providing smooth start-up and continuous stopping of moving parts of machines such as traveling bridges, conveyors and the like.

To date, a costly control device for controlling the electric motor or a continuous transmission is used for this purpose; their common disadvantage is an increase in costs. Lever systems are also used, but they are only suitable for short travels.

The above-mentioned drawbacks are largely eliminated by the solution of the invention, which is based on a device consisting of two electric motors of different power, mechanically coupled by a chain, the second electric motor being a chain connected to a gearbox, from which a bridge, a chain wheel and a pulley is moved over track.

The device according to the invention has a higher effect compared to the prior art, consisting in a substantial simplification of the respective device and its applicability for tubular long travels.

The device of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment.
