Abstract
Řešení se týká kartáče pro roztírání asfaltových hmot. Řeší se problém zvýšení tuhosti vlákna a s tím spojené prodloužení viditelné výšky vlákna. Optimální prodloužená viditelná výška vlákna kartáče umožňuje nabráni většího množství asfaltové hmoty, zlepší se rozetíratelnost a stejnoměrnost nátěru a zvýší životnost kartáčů. Tyto požadavky splňuje přírodní vlákno, vyrostlé z listově pochvy palmy, zvané arenga vlákno. The solution concerns a brush for spreading asphalt materials. The problem of increasing the stiffness of the fiber and the associated extension of the visible height of the fiber is solved. The optimal extended visible height of the brush fiber allows for the collection of a larger amount of asphalt material, improves the spreadability and uniformity of the coating and increases the service life of the brushes. These requirements are met by a natural fiber grown from the leaf sheath of a palm tree, called arenga fiber.
Description
Vynález se týká kartáče pro rpztírání asfaltových hmot.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a brush for asphalt scraping.
V současné době se při výrobě kartáčů pro roztírání asfaltových hmot používá jemné vlákno z mexického surového fíbru. Nevýhodou tohoto vlákna je jeho malá tuhost, která umožňuje maximální délku tzv· viditelnou výěku vlákna kartáče pouze 70 mm.Currently, a fine fiber of Mexican raw fiber is used in the production of brushes for spreading asphalt. The disadvantage of this fiber is its low stiffness, which allows a maximum length of so-called visible brush fiber height of only 70 mm.
To způsobuje horší roztíratelnost nanášené hmoty a β t ím spojenou zhoršenou kvalitu asfaltového nátěru· Malá tuhost vlákna je též příčinou nízké životnosti kartáčů.This results in a worse spreadability of the applied material and thus a deteriorated quality of the asphalt coating. • Low stiffness of the fiber is also the cause of the low brush life.
The aforementioned drawbacks are largely eliminated by the solution according to the invention, which consists in that the bristles of the brush for spreading asphalt compositions are made of natural fibers, grown from the leaf sheath of a palm, called arenga fiber. Arenga fiber is a natural fiber obtained from the sheath of a Central Malay palm tree, which has so far been used only as a raw material for upholstery and saddlery production and for splicing ropes.
This fiber has a higher stiffness with respect to the cross-section than is usual with the plant fiber types used. This allows the visible brush fiber height to be extended from 70 mm to an optimum 85 mm. This height makes it possible to take up a greater amount of asphalt, improve the spreadability and uniformity of the coating and increase the service life of the brushes in normal use. The high thermal resistance means that the brush fiber does not deform even at temperatures approaching the boiling point of the asphalt compositions. These advantageous properties of the arenga fiber have been discovered as novel.
Vynález je blíže popsán v příkladném provedení.The invention is described in more detail by way of example.
Kartáč s vlákny arenga o viditelné výšce vlákna 85 mm byl použit při provádění nátěru penetračním asfaltovým lakem za studenáA brush with arenga fibers with a visible fiber height of 85 mm was used to apply a cold penetration asphalt paint

Při nanášení aeraltového laku se projevila výhoda delší viditel né výšky vlákna, neboť kartáč lépe držel materiál a došlo ke snadnějšímu a lepšímu roztírání asfaltové hmoty na podklad. The application of the aeralt varnish has shown the advantage of a longer visible fiber height, since the brush better held the material and the asphalt composition was easier and better to spread to the substrate.
Kartáč s vlákny arenga o viditelné výšce vlákna 85 mm byl použit při provádění nátěru horkým asfaltem Při nanášeníA brush with arenga fibers with a visible fiber height of 85 mm was used in hot asphalt coating.
700 kg horkého asfaltu nedošlo k žádným změnám na kartáči vlivem tepelného namáhání . Delší viditelná výška vlákna umožnila stejnoměrné roztírání asfaltové hmoty na podklad·700 kg of hot asphalt showed no changes to the brush due to thermal stress. Longer visible fiber height allows even asphalt to be spread evenly onto the substrate.
Kartáč podle vynálezu se uplatní zejména při roztírání studených i horkých asfaltových hmot·The brush according to the invention is particularly suitable for spreading cold and hot asphalt materials.
