The cloth is impregnated in one pass through the device with undiluted components, applied in alternating stripes, each on one side of the cloth, and by ironing, with the components interconnected by hydrogen bridges with the participation of the cloth fiber. The device for carrying out the method consists of an unwinding drum (2), dosing tubes (3, 5) for individual components, equipped with pumps (11, 12), an ironing device with a cylinder (7), which simultaneously carries a strip of impregnated fabric, an ironing plate (8) and a winding drum (10).

Description

Vynález se týká antistatické utěrky pro ošetření nábytku a předmětů z plastů, způsobu její impregnace a zařízení k provádění tohoto způsobu.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an antistatic cloth for treating plastic furniture and articles, to a method of impregnating it, and to an apparatus for performing the method.

Antistatické úpravy povrchu předmětů jsou dnes velmi potřebné. Povrch lakovaného nábytku, kryty přístrojů a ručkových měřidel, kryty svítidel, výplety židlí a mnohé další předměty se silné elektricky nabíjejí. Přitahují prach, způsobují elektrostatické poruchy v elektronických zařízeních a mohou způsobit požáry a výbuchy přeskokem jisker.Antistatic surface finishes of objects are very much needed today. Varnished furniture surfaces, instrument and pointer gauges, lamp covers, chair strings and many other items are electrically charged strongly. They attract dust, cause electrostatic disturbances in electronic devices and can cause fires and explosions by sparking.

In recent years, a number of substances have been synthesized that exhibit electrical conductivity and have been used to impregnate wipes for furniture surface treatment. Anti-static wipes according to AO 195 617 and furniture polishing wipes with antistatic effect according to AO 229 119 can be mentioned.

Novou velmi výhodnou impregnační látkou se ukázala látka 3-(hydroxyalkylamino)-2-hydroxypropylester mastné kyseliny obecného vzorce kde R představuje alkylový nebo alkenylový zbytek se 6 až 22 uhlíkovými atomy v hlavním řetězci, R^ je vodík, 2-hydroxyethyl, 3-hydroxypropyl, l-hydroxy-2-propyl, 2-hydroxy-l-propyl, l-hydroxy-2-butyl, l-hydroxy-3-butyl, l-hydroxy-4-butyl, 2-hydroxy-3-butyl a R2 představuje stejné substituenty jako R-j^ kromě vodíku, připravená podle čs. AO 208 966 z 25. 6. 1984.A novel highly preferred impregnating agent has shown a fatty acid 3- (hydroxyalkylamino) -2-hydroxypropyl ester of the formula: wherein R is an alkyl or alkenyl radical of 6 to 22 carbon atoms in the main chain, R 6 is hydrogen, 2-hydroxyethyl, 3-hydroxypropyl , 1-hydroxy-2-propyl, 2-hydroxy-1-propyl, 1-hydroxy-2-butyl, 1-hydroxy-3-butyl, 1-hydroxy-4-butyl, 2-hydroxy-3-butyl, and R 2 represents the same substituents as R1, except for hydrogen, prepared according to U.S. Pat. AO 208 966 of 25 June 1984.

It is an oily consistency substance soluble in ethanol and other alcohols. The advantage of this substance for application on antistatic wipes for plastics over similarly used substances is that it is strictly harmless to health, has favorable dermatological effects on the hands of the wipers user, prevents the surface of plastic objects such as protective and sports glasses, safety shields and similarly and has a high antistatic effect even in dry weather.

Previously antistatic cloths are made mostly from cotton woven fabric of grammage typical of dusters, ie around 250 g / m. They are impregnated with an antistatic agent or fabric composition in an amount that is typically about 10-15% by weight of the wipe.

Jednou utěrkou o velikosti 50 x 50 cm lze ošetřit s touto hodnotou odporu plochu 250-300 m .One component of the composition is glycerin, the amount of which is usually 10 to 30% of the total amount of impregnation, i.e. 1 to 4.5% by weight of the wipe. The measured value of the surface resistance of the treated furniture is around 1.10 10 Λ per square. With a cloth of 50 x 50 cm, an area of 250-300 m can be treated with this resistance value.

The disadvantage of the prior art wipes is, first of all, a small percentage of the active ingredient. This small supply is due to the fact that the cotton fabric, by its hydrophilic nature, is not able to permanently retain in itself a larger amount of an antistatic substance having the hydrophobic-hydrophilic character, always having a weaker hydrophilic end-molecule effect.

In prior art wipes, the addition of glycerin in the impregnation composition is bound only to the fiber by sorption forces, but not to the other components of the composition. Thus, when applied, it is released independently of the other ingredients, thereby significantly altering the composition of the surface film on the treated surface.

It would be desirable to achieve a high ratio of glycerin to main component in order to maintain the antistatic effect on the treated surface even at very low atmospheric humidity.

In prior art wipes, higher concentrations of glycerin lead to its rapid division at the beginning of application.

The achieved surface resistance of the treated surface is close to the lower serviceability limit, which is due both to the electrical properties of existing substances and to the lack of orientation of their molecules on the treated surface.

Another disadvantage of the prior art towels is their certain unsupportability - given the mentioned grammage - which does not allow reliable treatment of rugged surfaces and small objects. This higher grammage is used on the one hand from the habit - they are conventional dusters - and on the other hand in order to achieve a usable supply of impregnating compound.

These disadvantages are overcome by the antistatic cloth of the invention. It consists of a knitted fabric of 2 synthetic fibers with a grammage of 120-140 g / m and is impregnated with a fabric according to the Czech Republic. AO 208 966, wherein up to 50% by weight of the impregnation can be replaced by glycerine in an amount of 20-30% by weight of the wipe. The measured surface resistance of the treated area is 2.10 Λ per square. With a wipe of 50 x 50 cm according to the invention, 300-500 surfaces can be treated with this resistance value.

These very good properties have been shown to result from an unexpectedly beneficial combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic impregnation properties and hydrophobic properties of synthetic fiber knits. The hydrophobic ends of the base impregnating molecules are directed to the hydrophobic surface of the article and cause the wipe to hold a larger percentage of the active ingredient.

Současně je látka schopna vytvářet vazby vodíkovým můstkem ke glycerinu za spoluúčasti povrchových sil vlákna. Tím je utěrka schopna podržet výhodné vysoké procento glycerinu. At the same time, the substance is capable of bonding a hydrogen bridge to glycerin with the participation of the surface forces of the fiber. Thus, the wipe is able to hold a preferred high percentage of glycerin.

Applying a soft cloth to hydrophobic surfaces releases the impregnating composition in a constant composition and forms a very thin layer on the treated surface capable of perfect orientation. This results in an observed increase in the electrical conductivity of the surface and an increase in the size of the sparing furniture area while reducing the consumption of impregnants.

Another advantageous feature of a soft, lightweight synthetic knitted cloth is its reliable applicability to small and articulated items.

For impregnation of wipes with active substance according to MS. AO 208 966 and glycerine was used in a method with undiluted components, characterized in that the components are each applied to one side of the towel in narrow, near strips, which alternate with each other when viewed through the towel, followed immediately by heat treatment. This method, namely, deposition on opposing sides in alternating strips in an extraordinary manner increases the efficiency of forming hydrogen bridges between the components of the impregnation with fiber participation.
