Vynález sa týká sposobu indikácie látok inhibujúcich fotosyntézu, ktoré tvoria prevažnú časť herbicídne účinných látok. The invention relates to a method of indicating photosynthesis inhibiting substances which form a predominantly herbicidally active substance.

Testovacie metódy v systéme „in vitro“ založené na farehných a fluorescenčných změnách autotrofných alebo heterotrofných buněčných suspenzii, připadne meraní vzniknutého· kyslíka kyslíkovou elektrodou, spotřebovaného kysličníka uhličitého IČ-spektroskopiou (DD 212 985 A, DD 217 892 A, DD 213 146 A) odstraňujú vyššie uvedené nedostatky, ale musia vždy poskytovat výsledky v zhode so skríningovými metódami na ošetrených rastlinách v podmienkach ,,in vivo“.In developing new herbicidally effective formulations, a large number of substances with a wide variety of chemical structures need to be tested. The principle of the most widely used screening test methods is based mainly on the monitoring of phytotoxicity expressed by the bonitation scale under the greenhouse conditions of the treated plants. This method of indicating herbicidal efficacy in a large number of test substances is energy-consuming, spatial and time-consuming as herbicidal symptoms are delayed, thereby blocking test spaces for a longer period of time. "In vitro" test methods based on fake and fluorescent changes in autotrophic or heterotrophic cell suspensions, possibly measuring oxygen produced by oxygen electrode, carbon dioxide consumed by IR spectroscopy (DD 212 985 A, DD 217 892 A, DD 213 146 A) they eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, but they must always provide results in accordance with screening methods on treated plants under "in vivo" conditions.

The above drawbacks of the test procedures for the hericidal efficacy of a large number of substances obviate the way in which the photosynthesis inhibiting substances of the invention are indicated. The present invention is based on the fact that topical solutions of the substances indicated are applied topically to the bean leaves, which are placed in a photosynthetic chamber where they are exposed to light exposure under the action of radioactive CO2. The leaves are then placed in an autoradiographic film cassette where, by placing 14C radiation embedded during exposure to the leaf biomass of the plant, the backing zone appears on the dark background after induction of the film at the sites of the applied herbicide. The advantage of the method of indicating photosynthesis inhibiting agents is that the herbicide effect occurs under "in vivo" conditions and locally changes in the leaf radioactivity of the plant are produced by the herbicide already for a period of short light exposure, using instrumental low-frequency autoradiographic techniques. . Since a larger number of test compounds can be applied to the area of one leaf by spot, this method allows a large number of substances to be tested without the use of untreated control sheets, since the light substitutes the dark contrasting background of the untreated leaf.
