Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for applying foamed aqueous solutions or dispersions to sheet-like textile structures, having a sensor for recording the speed of the sheet-like structure and a pressure doctor which is provided with a foam-feed line coming from the foam-forming apparatus, the output of the sensor which serves for recording the speed of the sheet-like structure being connected to a correcting member for setting the desired value of the throughflow of the liquid, and the output of the correcting member being assigned a comparator having an adjustable reference-signal level. The object of the invention is by simple means to ensure, if possible without an additional use of chemicals, that, despite a low consumption, the foam occurs at the nozzle in a fresh state which can be processed to an optimum degree. According to the invention, the pressure doctor is assigned an outlet valve which is connected to the output of a comparator by means of an actuating and regulating system.

Description

The invention relates to a device for applying foamed aqueous solutions or dispersions to flat textile substrates when consumed below the minimum supply range of solutions or dispersions by a foaming device.

One of the known technological processes which allows to reduce the costs of energy and raw materials in textile processing, dyeing and printing plants is the controlled coating of textile auxiliaries or dyes on flat substrates by means of foam. The foam makes it possible to deposit these substances on flat substrates with a minimum weight gain of the bath, which saves energy especially during subsequent drying. Another possibility is to use the foam system in textile printers. In the case of printing, the desired rheological properties of the foamed ink are achieved with a considerably smaller content of the ink in the ink before foaming. A further saving of the thickening agent and other chemicals results from the fact that after foaming a substantial part of the liquid is replaced by air. One possible method of application is to directly apply foam to the flat substrate by means of a rotating template and a pressure squeegee. The foam is extruded onto the flat substrate by perforating the template, and its flow rate depends on many factors - in the case of printing, among others, also the surface coverage (a pattern printed with foam printing ink). The carrier of the auxiliary agents or dye in the foam is the liquid phase and one of the factors that substantially affects its consumption is the speed of movement of the flat substrate. In case of printing, it is necessary to adjust the mutual position of the patterns (reporting) after each re-creation of the templates, during which losses are caused by defective printing. To minimize these losses, reporting is performed at a low speed machine. Also, if the percentage of coverage is low, the consumption of the foam ink is very low. Low consumption is associated with low foam conveying velocity in the supply line between the foam generator and the application site and hence the requirement for high stability and low foamability. Both of these parameters can only be influenced by additives to a certain extent. If the transport delay is too great, there is a partial disintegration of the foam, especially at the end of the supply line (in the pressure nozzle) and, as a result, the deposition (printing) over the width of the textile substrate is illegal.

3 schéma ovládacího a regulačního bloku s třícestným dvoupolohovým rozváděčem ovládaným pneumaticky a obr. 4 jiné schéma ovládacího a regulačního bloku s tímže rozváděčem ovládaným elektromagneticky. This drawback is overcome by the device according to the invention, characterized in that the pressure squeegee is associated with a bleed valve coupled by means of a control and regulating block with a comparator outlet, the control and regulating block comprising a regulator connected to said bleed valve by a pneumatically or electromagnetically controlled distributor. Advantages of the device according to the invention are the possibility of leveling the printing at very low line speeds, with some of the foam being discharged into the reservoir, and automatically stopping the discharge foam (closing the discharge valve) when increasing the liquid bath supply by the pump. When the drain valve is closed, the system is completely closed and the squeegee pressure varies depending on the line speed. Further advantages and features of the invention are apparent from the following exemplary embodiments, wherein FIG. 1 is a schematic of a rotary and pressure squeegee applicator including foam discharge device into the reservoir; FIG. 2 is a longitudinal section through the bleed valve; 4 shows another diagram of the control and regulation block with the same switchboard operated electromagnetically. FIG.

An advantage of the device according to the invention is the leveling of auxiliary textile preparations or dyes at very low speeds of the flat textile substrate, i.e. when consumed below the minimum supply limit.

The device greatly simplifies the operation of the foaming and coating equipment at low speeds or when the line is stopped.

Trojcestný dvoupolohový rozváděč 23 je kanály propojen s výstupem regulátoru 20 a prostřednictvím solenoidového ventilu 22 s regulátorem tlaku 21 a dále přívodem 7 s řídicím vstupem odpouštěcího ventilu 1. U alternativního provedení podle obr. 4 je součástí ovládacího a regulačního bloku elektromagneticky ovládaný třícestný dvoupolohový rozváděčThe embodiment of the coating device according to FIG. 1 comprises a pressure squeegee 4 provided at the inlet with a pipe 9 for supplying foam from a foam generator (not shown) and a rotating template 3 coupled by a gear (not shown) with the applicator and textile belt 11 not shown. a pressure relief valve 4 is connected to a discharge valve 1, the inlet of which is a closed space 5 and whose outlet is provided with a mouthpiece 18 for draining foam into the container 10. The closed space 5 and the control inlet of the relief valve 1 are connected to the control and regulating In the exemplary embodiment of the relief valve 1 of FIG. 2, the valve includes a seat 12 and a plug 13 connected to the plug stem 17 and a rubber diaphragm 14. 27, který je propojen s regulátorem tlaku 21 přímo. Solenoidový ventil 22 nebo třícestný dvoupolohový rozváděč 27 jsou přitom spřaženy prostřednictvím neznázorněného přepínače řídícího signálu s výstupem neznázorněného komparátoru.27, which is connected directly to the pressure regulator 21. In this case, the solenoid valve 22 or the three-way two-position distributor 27 are coupled by means of a control signal switch (not shown) to the output of a comparator (not shown).

When the foamed aqueous solutions or dispersions are applied to the textile web 11, the foam from the foaming device (not shown) is fed to the pressure squeegee 4 via line 9. When the line is at rest, the distributors 23 and 22 are respectively displaced. 27 and the solenoid valve 22 in the first positions indicated in FIGS. 3 and 4, and when the inlet 8 is depressurized, only the spring 16 pressure acts on the stem 17 and the discharge valve 1 is fully open. After connecting the inlet 8 to the compressed air distribution, the reduced air pressure is supplied to the solenoid valve 22, respectively. to the distributor 27 and at the same time to the regulator 20. If the pressure in the enclosure 5 is zero, the outlet pressure of the regulator 20 is maximum. This pressure causes the plug 13 to move to the second extreme position and the discharge valve 1 closes. During filling, the air from the squeegee 4 is forced out by the foam. After filling of the squeegee 4, the foam is discharged into the container 10 through the mouthpiece 18 when the valve is opened corresponding to the equilibrium of the forces acting on the plug 13. At a low speed of the textile substrate. and the excess foam is discharged into the reservoir 10. As the textile substrate speed increases, the liquid supply through the frothing device also increases. After exceeding the minimum supply, the output signal of the capacitor (not shown) changes, causing the solenoid valve 22 and the distributor 27 to switch. 27 to the second position, the regulator 20 is disconnected, the relief valve 1 is completely closed by direct action of reduced air pressure on the membrane 14, and the pressure in the squeegee 4 increases as the speed of the textile substrate increases. lation is a level coating even at very low speeds of the textile substrate, the unused portion of the foam withdrawn into the container 10 is ready after zkolapování к new use. The advantage of the drain valve 1 with the diaphragm 14 is the low resistance when adjusting the plug 13 and the easy cleaning of the plug compartment after the deposition. Some applicators use a double-sided foam feed to the squeegee. In these cases, the relief valve can be assigned to the inlet before the foam enters the pressure squeegee, for example to the inlet before its branching.
