Jako chemická vlákna do směsových lze použít vlákna polypropylenová, polyesterová či polyamidová.The aim of the solution is to treat flax or mixed fibers for cement reinforcement, where the fiber mixture is treated for 0.5 to 4 hours with technological water from sedimentation tanks of asbestos-cement plants at temperatures of 283.15 to 393.15 K. Polypropylene, polyester or polyamide fibers can be used as chemical fibers for the mixtures.
Description
The invention relates to a method of treating flax or mixed fibers for cement reinforcement.
Pokusy použít režné, neupravené lněné vlákno jako armovací vlákno pro náhradu azbestu v azbestocementové výrobě nebyly úspěěné, protože necelulozové látky obsažené ve lněném vlákně naruěujl hydratací cementu a tím znaSně snižují pevnosti hotových vláknocementových výrobků.Attempts to use raw, untreated flax fiber as a reinforcing fiber to replace asbestos in asbestos-cement production were not successful because the non-cellulosic substances contained in flax fiber interfere with the hydration of cement and thus significantly reduce the strength of finished fiber-cement products.
,The most well-known treatment of flax fiber for use in asbestos-cement production is the preparation of Koberit-type fiber according to patent DE 3 008 204, the principle of which is as follows: mechanically processed dried fiber is impregnated with lime milk and, after further intermediate drying, is soaked with a solution of water glass containing formaldehyde. This procedure, in addition to other properties mentioned, also achieves suppression of the disruption of cement stone hydration. The disadvantage of this method is the considerable energy demand of the preparation and the necessity of working with formaldehyde, which is harmful to health. ,

The above disadvantages are largely eliminated by the method of treating flax or mixed fibers according to the invention, where flax fiber with a length of 0.5 to 15 mm or this fiber and admixtures of chemical fibers are treated at a temperature of 283.15 to 393.15 X for a period of 0.5 to 4 hours with technological water from sedimentation tanks of asbestos cement plants with a pH of 11.5 to 13.5. For example, polypropylene, polyester or polyamide fibers can be used as chemical fibers.
Touto cestou se odstraňuje rušení hydratace cementového kamene necelulozovými látkami vláken. Chemické složení technologické vody se pohybuje v tomto rozmezí:This way, the interference of cement stone hydration by non-cellulosic substances of fibers is eliminated. The chemical composition of technological water ranges in this range:
Vyvářka odstraní ve značném stupni nežádoucí příměsi ze lněných vláken snižující pevnosti vláknocementového materiálu a současně impregnuje lněné vlákno hydroxidem vápenatým, což příznivě ovlivňuje adhezi cementových zrn k povrchu lněného vlákna. The decoction removes to a significant extent undesirable impurities from flax fibers that reduce the strength of the fiber-cement material and at the same time impregnates the flax fiber with calcium hydroxide, which favorably affects the adhesion of cement grains to the surface of the flax fiber.
Provedení úpravy dle vynálezu je popsáno v následujících příkladech:The implementation of the treatment according to the invention is described in the following examples:
Po 28 dnech normálního vytvrzování dosahuji destičky pevnosti v tahu za ohybu 13,1 MPa, což je srovnatelné s pevnostmi azbestocementových destiček vyrobených z azbestu tř. 6 za týchž podmínek, kde bylo dosaženo pevnosti 12,3 MPa.The untreated flax fiber is cut into lengths of 0.5 to 6 mm, placed in a container with process water from an asbestos cement plant and heated for 120 minutes at a temperature of 95 °C. The solution is then allowed to cool, the liquid is filtered off and the fiber is mixed in a mixer with water and Portland cement PC 400 in a ratio of 6% by weight of flax fiber and 94% by weight of Portland cement. The resulting suspension is drained and 200 x 100 x 7 mm plates are formed from the mass, which are further strengthened by pressing. After 28 days of normal curing, the plates reach a tensile strength in bending of 13.1 MPa, which is comparable to the strengths of asbestos cement plates made from asbestos class 6 under the same conditions, where a strength of 12.3 MPa was achieved.
Destičky se 4 t hmotnostními azbestu tř. 6 vyrobené stejným postupem dosahují pevnosti v tahu za ohybu 11,5 MPa.A mixed fibre containing 92% by weight flax and 8% by weight polyamide fibres is cut to a length of 2 to 5 mm and heated at 80°C for 90 minutes in the process water of an asbestos cement plant. The fibre is then centrifuged and intensively mixed in clean water with β Portland cement to a suspension with a concentration of approximately 13 t. The suspension is poured into a mould and vacuum drained. The 200 x 100 x 7 mm plates removed from the mould containing 4% by weight fibres are pressed. After 28 days of curing they achieve an average bending tensile strength of 13.4 MPa. Plates with 4 t of asbestos class 6 produced by the same procedure achieve a bending tensile strength of 11.5 MPa.
The main advantage of the treatment of fibers according to the invention is the possibility of replacing asbestos fibers that are harmful to health in asbestos-cement products with fibers that are harmless to health.
Další výhodou je i možnost použití vlákenných odpadů z textilního průmyslu.Another advantage is the possibility of using fiber waste from the textile industry.
