Abstract

1. A cable hauling apparatus to lift, lower or pull loads, with one or more pairs of clamping jaws (2) located in a housing with clamping jaws (5, 6) for a haulage rope (7) passing through the apparatus that is operable via clamping levers (3, 4), with clamping jaw carriers (8, 9) for the pairs of clamping jaws and with an operating device (10) for the opening and closing movement of the pairs of clamping jaws, characterized in that at least one of the two clamping jaws (6) of each pair of clamping jaws (2) is mounted to swivel on a swivel axis (20) transverse to the direction of the cable, and in that the clamping jaws (6) that are mounted to swivel are pivoted on at least one side to the associated clamping levers (4) and each of the accompaning clamping jaw carriers (9) has an appropriate through aperture (19) for the swivel axes of the clamping jaws (6).
