Description
Vynález ie týká rozpouštědlových akrylových nátěrových hmot tvrdltelných polyleokyanáty při normální teplotě·The invention relates to solvent-borne acrylic coatings curable with polyisocyanates at normal temperature.
Akrylová dvousložková rozpouětědlové nátěrově hmoty tvrdltelné zo normální, tj· pokojová teploty nacházejí stále ělrěí uplatnění v nej různějěích průmyslových odvětvích, .především však v oblasti opravárenství dopravních prostředků /Luckert 0.: Farbe u Lack 84. 1978, str· 774/. Příčinou zájmu o akrylová typy těchto hmot jsou jejich velmi dobrá užitná vlastnosti, zejména odolnost vůči účinkům povětrnosti, vodě, chemikáliím m žloutnutí· Mají taká výhodné i některé speciální vlastností, např. rychlé zasychání na vzduchu a síTování za normální teploty, poměrně rychlé doeažení požadované tvrdosti nátěrových povlaků aj. /North A.C.t 3. Paint Tochnol· 43/557/, 1971, str. Acrylic two-component solvent-based paints hardenable at normal, i.e. room temperature, are increasingly used in a wide variety of industrial sectors, but primarily in the field of vehicle repair /Luckert 0.: Farbe u Lack 84. 1978, p. 774/. The reason for the interest in acrylic types of these materials is their very good utility properties, especially resistance to the effects of weathering, water, chemicals and yellowing. They also have some advantageous special properties, e.g. rapid drying in air and crosslinking at normal temperatures, relatively rapid achievement of the required hardness of paint coatings, etc. /North A.C.t 3. Paint Technology 43/557/, 1971, p. 44/· from high-quality paint materials high hardness of paint layers is expected while maintaining their sufficient resistance to impact, bending and denting and also good adhesion to various substrates. For two-component paint materials, the workability time of their mixture with the reinforcing component is also important /Klein 0. H., Elmo W, □. Paint Technology 43 /562/, 1971, p. 68/. Solution acrylic binders are commonly prepared by radical copolymerization of alkane monomers in organic solvents. By formulating a mixture of monomers and choosing polymerization conditions, it is possible to obtain products with diverse properties that satisfy at least some of the basic requirements for the most common applications of solution binders. However, achieving an optimal balance of the decisive properties of two-component acrylic binders is in many cases practically impossible when using a single polymer. However, the preparation of products with more advantageous properties by simply mixing two or more types of solution acrylic binders with functional groups encounters problems of their mutual miscibility due to the different chemical nature of the macromolecular chains and high molecular weight. As a result, the requirements for the properties of two-component acrylate solution copolymers are met only partially.
Tento problém úspěšně řeší předložený vynález, Jehož předmětem Joou rozpouitědlové akrylové nátěrové hmoty tvrdltolnó polylsokyanáty, které sestávají z 5 až 50 hmot, dílů akrylového pojivá na bázi akrylových kopolymerů obsahujících hydroxylové skupiny, 15 až 70 hmot, dílů organických rozpouštědel a případně až 30 hmot, dílů dalěích lakařských pojlv, až 75'hmot, dílů pigmentů a/nebo plniv a až 8 hmot, dílů adltlv, zejména ze skupiny zahrnující rozlivová činidla, matovadla a e.uěldla. It is prepared by radical copolymerization with time-controlled continuous or gradual addition of a mixture of monomers containing a polymerization initiator to solvents and to the resulting copolymer at temperatures of 70 to 175 °C, preferably at the boiling point, for 30 minutes to 7 hours and subsequent completion of the copolymerization by maintaining the reaction mixture at these temperatures for up to 12 hours. Acrylic copolymers with a controlled molecular structure are also mixtures of two to three copolymers, prepared by stepwise radical copolymerization with two- or three-stage continuous or gradual dosing of one to three different mixtures of monomers with a polymerization initiator into solvents of the resulting copolymers at the specified temperatures. Organic peroxides, hydroperoxides, peracid esters or aldehyde compounds can be used as radical polymerization initiators, e.g. dibenzoyl peroxide, tert, butyl perbenzoate, azo-bis-isobutyronitrile, azo-bis-2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile, etc., which are usually used in an amount of 0.2 to 5.6% by weight, but other types of radical polymerization initiators can also be used for the monomer content.
The presence of water must also be excluded. From a technological point of view, it is necessary to take into account their solvating capacity, boiling point and transfer constants when choosing solvents. Chain transfer and polymerization temperature determine the molecular weights of the resulting copolymers. In particular, aromatic hydrocarbons can be used, e.g. toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene, as well as esters, e.g. ethyl acetate, propyl acetate, n-butyl acetate and le-butyl acetate, alkoxyglycol esters, e.g. ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether acetate, glycol esters, e.g. ethylene glycol diacetate, ketones, e.g. methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone and methoxyhexanone, chlorinated hydrocarbons, e.g. methylene chloride and trichloroethylene, etc.
