Description

Vynález se týká způsobu výroby ohebných plošných útvarů, vykazujících hodnotu elektrického odporu pod 10$ Ohm.cm, nanášením elektricky vodivého plaetisolu na textilní podložku.The invention relates to a method of producing flexible flat structures having an electrical resistance value below 10$ Ohm.cm by applying an electrically conductive plaetisol to a textile substrate.

The term flexible sheet should be understood to mean materials such as synthetic leathers, which are based on a textile backing coated with a plastisol, i.e. polyvinyl chloride paste. Flexible sheet materials of this type are widely used and are traditionally used in the leather industry, shoemaking, haberdashery, and in some cases they also penetrate unconventional industrial areas, such as the production of spatial bodies for transporting air in mines.

The production process of these flexible flat structures consists of applying plastisol to a textile substrate with subsequent heat treatment of the layer, during which it gels and transitions to a plastic state, after which the layer acquires its final physical and mechanical properties upon subsequent cooling to ambient temperature. For application in mining operations, it is also necessary that the flexible flat structures exhibit electrical conductivity, since the products made from them are used in highly demanding, even emergency, environments. The electrical conductivity of the plastisol coating on flexible flat shapes, expressed as the value of electrical resistance, is ensured by the addition of electrically conductive carbon black (DB 2 340 695), which, in the case of a high proportion thereof, causes significant problems not only with the preparation of the pastes themselves, but especially with the application of the pastes to the textile substrate and the homogenization of the coating, so that conventional methods of producing flexible flat shapes of the described type are no longer satisfactory and the problems that have arisen must be solved by technical means corresponding to the changed technical conditions in production.

For this purpose, a method according to the invention has been developed for the production of flexible flat structures with a favorable electrical resistance value, in which an electrically conductive plastisol is applied to a textile substrate, the essence of which is as follows: a plastisol with a content, based on the weight of the plastisol, of 1 to 4 percent by weight of electrically conductive carbon black and 55 to 80 percent by weight of a chlorinated hydrocarbon, in particular trichloroethylene or perchloroethylene, is applied to a textile substrate by painting, the textile substrate with the deposited layer is subsequently treated with a temperature in the range of 160 to 220 °C, gradually in graduated phases from 160 to 180 °C, from 200 to 220 °C and from 190 to 200 °C, then the surface of the plastisol layer is processed by surface smoothing under pressure in the range of 3 to 4 MPa and finally the entire flexible flat structure is cools to 55 to 65 °C.

The technical effect of the method according to the invention consists in that it enables the production of flexible sheet-like structures, the polyvinyl chloride coating of which has an electrical resistance value below 10$ Ohm.cm. To achieve this moisture content, up to 4 weight percent of an inorganic antistatic agent in the form of electrically conductive carbon black is added to the plastisol, and this high carbon black load of the plastisol is compensated by a high addition of chlorinated hydrocarbons as organic solvents. On the other hand, these solvents evaporate during the heat treatment of the coating and disrupt the surface physical structure of the coating on the substrate, but this is subsequently homogenized by planar smoothing of the surface under pressure in the phase before the final cooling of the coating. This process with the documented technical effect will be explained in more detail in the description and in the attached drawing, which is a schematic representation of the course of the individual phases in the production of flexible sheet-like structures by the method according to the invention.

Je třeba zdůraznit, že na výkrese jde o teploty, získané měřením materiálu v průběhu těchto jednotlivých fází, takže tyto teploty se zcela logicky neshoIn the attached schematic drawing, which is divided into two mutually complementary parts, the lower part shows the course of formation of the plastisol layer on the textile substrate, together with a schematic representation of the structural changes taking place in the plastisol during the individual phases of the method according to the invention. The lower part is then supplemented by the upper part, which shows the temperature courses in the individual phases of the method according to the invention. It should be emphasized that the drawing concerns temperatures obtained by measuring the material during these individual phases, so these temperatures do not quite logically coincide

CS 269 424 Bl I dují e teplotami, jimiž ee na plastisol včetně textilní podložky působí v průběhu jed- ! notlivých fází způsobu podle vynálezu.CS 269 424 Bl I are determined by the temperatures at which the plastisol, including the textile backing, is exposed during the individual phases of the method according to the invention.

V homogenní fázi 25 zůstávají samozřejmě i nadále pravidelně rozptýleny funkční částice sazí XX, avšak tloušťka nánosu plastisolu X se v důsledku Jeho objemového poklesu značně zmenší.In the production of flexible flat structures according to the method according to the invention, the procedure is as follows: on a textile substrate 1, of essentially any character, but representing, for example, a fabric in which cotton, polyamide, viscose or polyester fibers are present, or a non-woven polyamide textile, plastisol χ is applied, either on one side, as shown in the attached drawing, or on both sides of the textile substrate χ. Plastisol 2 contains, in a simplified schematic concept, in particular polyvinyl chloride particles 22, carbon black particles 23. and between the particles 22 and 23 dispersed liquid phase 24. which is a mixture of plasticizer and solvent. When the plastisol layer 2 is heated, the solvent evaporates from the liquid phase 24 of plastisol 2, shown in the lower part of the drawing by a series of arrows X, pointing upwards. This evaporation is increasingly intense and even turbulent as the temperature of the plastisol 2 increases, and in the gelation phase of the plastisol 2, in which a homogeneous phase 25 of softened polyvinyl chloride is formed, the physical structure of the plastisol 2 layer is disrupted by the formation of surface craters X, for which the term pores would perhaps be more appropriate, since they penetrate more or less into the depth of the plastisol 2 layer. In the homogeneous phase 25, the functional carbon black particles XX of course continue to be regularly dispersed, but the thickness of the plastisol X layer is considerably reduced due to its volume decrease.

Struktura nánosu plastisolu X se ještě více zhušťuje a ohebný plošný útvar vyrobený způsobem- podle vynálezu pak nabývá finální tloušťku s 'homogenním povrchem 6, pod nímž se nachází homogenní fáze 25 změkčeného polyvinylohloridu s rovnoměrně rozptýlenými částicemi sazí XX, zakotvená v textilní podložce 1.Flexible flat structures with such a disturbed physical structure, and in particular with an inhomogeneous surface, are not capable of exhibiting the required technical effect, in particular in the case of use on lutes for transporting air in mining operations, despite their electrical conductivity. Therefore, in the phase of thermal action on the plastisol 2., when it melts, the physically disturbed surface of the plastisol layer 2. is acted upon by the pressure effect of a smoothing homogenizing roller, in which possible additional patterning effects are not excluded. The structure of the plastisol layer X is further densified and the flexible flat structure produced by the method according to the invention then acquires a final thickness with a 'homogeneous surface 6, under which is located a homogeneous phase 25 of softened polyvinyl chloride with evenly dispersed carbon black particles XX, anchored in the textile substrate 1.

The method according to the invention is carried out by thermal treatment in the range from 160 to 220 °C, with the individual graded phases of thermal treatment successively forming the ranges from 160 to 180 °C, from 200 to 220 °C and from 190 to 200 °C, with final cooling to a temperature of 55 to 65 °C. The pressure action of the smoothing homogenizing roller 1 is in the range from 3 to 4 MPa. The temperature ranges measured during the individual phases of the method according to the invention, and related to these individual phases, are shown in the upper part of the drawing by the graphic line 2,. Here, the range from 40 to 50 °C shows the state of application of a plastisol X onto the textile substrate 1, the range from 130 to 150 °C shows the mutually overlapping states of solvent evaporation b and gelation c, the range of the subsequent temperature drop to 140 °C with a re-increase up to 160 °C shows the fading gelation c and melting d, the state between 160 to 90 °C shows homogenization c and the final drop from 110 to 90 °C and then shows the final cooling f of the product made by the method according to the invention.

The method of the invention is carried out on conventional production equipment, which includes coating equipment, gelling equipment and rolling equipment. In alternative embodiments of the method of the invention, the application of the plastisol X containing carbon black particles is preceded by the application of a conventional polyvinyl chloride paste.

The weight of plastisol X on the textile substrate 1 ranges from 500 to 1200 grams per square meter, whereby this plastisol X loses 65 to 70 percent of its weight due to evaporation of solvents during the thermal treatment according to the invention. This amount of plastisol 2 can be applied to the textile substrate χ optionally in two successively repeated operations.
