The method of treatment of surface of water-absorbing resin consists in addition of hydrophilic cross-linking agent able to react with at least two function groups of water-absorbing resin to suspension of water-absorbing resin in hydrophobic organic solvent for cross-linking the surface of the resin and its proximity, which is characteristic by the fact that it is added in the form of dispersion obtained by dispersing of the agent in hydrophobic organic solvent in presence of superficially active agent.
