Abstract

The solution concerns a device for measuring flow rate of liquids and gases in gravitation design for stable use or shock-proof for use in means of transport. It consists of a measuring chamber with variable cross-section and a magnetic float with Hall probe positioned in the axis of magnetization of the float or a piston with a magnetic part. The movement of the magnetic float or the piston carried by the current of the measured medium causes changes of magnetic induction B in the point of Hall probe position. The changes in distance of the magnetic float or the magnetic core on the needle are proportional to the changes of input current of the Hall probe and therefore to the changes of the flow rate of the measured medium. The output current of the Hall probe is sensed continuously or in the selected times and its processing can be analogue or digital. The solution enables fast electronic evaluation with minimum information delay. This qualifies it for cooperation with fast regulation systems that can react to sudden flow rate changes. It can be used in all the branches of chemical industry. The flow meter with shock-poof design can be used in automobile industry in the means of transport. Fast evaluation of flow rate without any delay enables to set optimum conditions of motor operation.<IMAGE>
