Abstract
The filling material for filling dental root canals consisting of calcium hydroxide /Ca/OH/2/, methylcellulose /H-(OCeH7O/OR/3-O-C6H7O/a ] n-OH/ and distilled water /H2O/ with anti-inflammatory effect is prepared in such a way that chemically pure titanium powder /TI/ is mixed into it in an amount of 0.05 to 0.10 g, as an X-ray contrast agent, to 1.0 g of calcium hydroxide /Ca/OH/2/. It is characterized by high contrast on the X-ray, which allows you to check the quality of filling the dental root canal by the classic method, i.e. Lentul rotary pincer, without complications.
Description
The invention solves the problem of X-ray contrast of calcium hydroxide / Ca / OH / 2 / based root filling material as a paste, which is used in dentistry for local treatment of dental caries (indirect covering), for direct covering of accidentally exposed tooth pulp, for covering of tooth pulp. after vital amputation and filling of dental root canals.
Doterajšie zloženie hydroxidu vápenatého /Ca/OH/2/ je následovně kalcium hydroxidatum , /Ca/OH/2/, methylcellulosa /H“[O~C6H7O/OR/3-O-C6H7O/OR/3]n-OH/, a aqua destiláta /H20/. The current composition of calcium hydroxide / Ca / OH / 2 / is as follows calcium hydroxidatum, / Ca / OH / 2 /, methylcellulose / H “[O ~ C 6 H 7 O / OR / 3 -OC 6 H 7 O / OR / 3 ] n -OH /, and aqua distillate (H 2 O). It is actually a calcium preparation that has an anti-inflammatory effect and reacts strongly alkaline because it has a pH of 12. It promotes the formation of secondary dentin, which creates a biological seal. The preparation is produced in the form of a paste which is easy to apply. It is necessary to close it well after use so that it does not dry out and especially so that it does not change its chemical composition.
>The disadvantage of said preparation as well as other root fillers based on calcium hydroxide (Ca / OH / 2 ) is that they are not contrasting with X-rays and therefore it is not possible to determine by X-ray inspection whether we have properly filled the root canal. Especially for permanent teeth with incomplete development, which is sometimes needed pinches 3 to 4 times during the whole therapeutic procedure within a certain time interval when the development of the tooth is monitored. >
The mentioned shortcoming of the hitherto used fillers based on calcium hydroxide (Ca / OH / 2 ) as a paste is solved by mixing chemically pure titanium powder (up to 1.0 g of calcium hydroxide / Ca / OH / 2 ) in the original composition of the calcium preparation as a paste. Ti / in an amount of 0.05 to 0.10 g as an X-ray contrast agent. After mixing, calcium hydroxide has the property of having a high contrast on the X-ray pattern, which makes it possible to check the quality of the filling of the dental root canal by the classical method (Lentulo type). Its consistency does not change, i.e. no lumps are formed and also pH 12 does not change. The advantage of the present invention is that, as already mentioned, the addition of chemically pure titanium powder (Ti) does not change the consistency of the paste. used for years in practice. Another advantage is that the chemical properties do not change and control with the help of Roentgen we achieve a quality contrast Roentgenogram with low cost.
